We have been wanting to try your restaurant for months. Last night we brought a friend. It was the worst experience since living in Spain. After we were seated nobody came to speak with us for 30 minutes. Our 3 meals came out at different times and the last one was 20 minutes after the first guest was served. Our beverages arrived half way through eating our dinner. We watched others experience the same. A family of 4 were seated before we ever arrived and we could see they only received their beverages. The worker never came back to take a food order. One of them went to find a worker and still no food order was taken. The manager came out to apologize to them and offered them cheescake as an apology. They agreed. After a while even the cheesecake never arrived. They left. We have many fiends that have talked about coming to your restaurant and we will gladly describe our experience to them first.
Now about the food. I’ve lived in California, Arizona and Texas. Spent months in Mexico and can tell you this is not traditional Mexican food and certainly not Texmex. I tried the chilaquiles and it was tragic. Not even a close resemblance. All our dishes were INTENSELY heavy with salt. The burrito was basic with little flavor other than the addition of pineapple and again SUPER salty. As a former restaurant owner in Texas I understand the importance of quality service and food. I try not to be so critical or harsh but instead somewhat forgiving because of my experience but sometimes it’s more important to...
Read moreThe place looked nice and colorful, which attracted us to it and the inside did follow the same theme, as did our appetizer, which despite being just a plate of nachos was very nicely presented. Unfortunately, that's where the good things end - apparently a plate of nachos is the only thing they know how to "cook" - we had a dish called El Traidor (The Traitor) and the name turned out to be well deserved for we certainly felt betrayed afterwards. The food was fajitas for 2 people, and consisted of 6 tiny (palm-sized) tortillas and filling which was either beef or chicken or a mix - we chose the mix. The beef (which they claimed was black angus) was tough and stringy and bland, the chicken and the veggies just bland - astonishingly so, you'd be hard-pressed to find anything as tasteless anywhere in Finland, and we're world-famous for our flavorless cuisine. For a place pretending to be Mexican it was just flat-out insulting, I'd be amazed if it had been seasoned with anything other than salt.
On the way out, I had the misfortune of visiting the bathroom - which was out of toilet paper, despite the fact that we were the first customers in that evening after their siesta, so the only explanation is that nobody bothered to check and clean during the 3-hour break... I guess I should count my lucky stars that I did not find any...
Read moreI spent almost 3 hours here without even getting food I could eat. Unless you have a severe tendency towards masochism I can unfortunately not recommend the experience.
The waiter forgot our order, and after waiting over an hour (not managing to make contact with him, the restaurant was full and busy) preparation of our food had not even been begun. The noise was unbearable. To keep us from simply walking out of the place, we got a huge bowl of an unidentifiable drink to share. What must have been tequila in it fulfilled its purpose and at least kept us in agreeable enough spirits for a few minutes. After 2 hours of continuous "dos minutos!" reassurances that the food was very nearly there, I got my plate, filled with ham even as I specifically had asked for a vegan meal, without meat or dairy products. On the second attempt there was no meat, but filled with cheese, at which point I gave up the endeavour and decided to eat leftovers when I got home instead. The rest of my group got (for them) edible food. When I got the bill the food I rejected was still on the bill. I refused and a new bill was presented.
There is no competition, this was the worst restaurant visit I've ever experienced. A nightmare from start to finish, but at least we got a story to...
