Restaurante Prego — Restaurant in Alicante

IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A GOOD EVENING, DON'T GO THERE! The food is abominable, barely edible, and the service is disastrous! The mussels were not cleaned and the "white wine cream sauce with herbs and vegetables" was simply cream thrown onto the plate with a few spices (no vegetables and certainly no white wine). The salad, which was supposed to be a main course, was microscopic (3 grams of parmesan and no cognac at all, as stated on the menu). After his SIX prawns as a starter, my friend was served an almost fried salmon, dripping with fat, accompanied by uncooked french fries and a sauce that even my dog would have refused. I asked 3 times for bread (the "main" waiter only paid attention to the table of pretty blonde tourists behind us, I was probably too old for his taste to deserve a slice of bread - I quickly regretted asking for it as it was more cardboard than bread), only the young women working on the terrace seemed interested in us, thanks to them. I speak Spanish but our arrogant waiter persisted in answering me in English (for some reason I can't explain, as he had mastered English like the cook had mastered cooking salmon). In short, a waste of money (over 60 euros) and time....

incredibly awful service, we waited 20 minutes to be seated, they kept having problems with us about everything and kept forgetting that we were waiting to be seated. when it comes to food, it has nothing to do with Italian food, the pizza was like from a store to defrost, the bolognese was awful, dry and awful. we waited 15 minutes just for drinks and over 40 minutes for food, in the meantime the service kept giving us unpleasant looks and apparently they had a huge problem with us for some unknown reason. I went to the toilet and was stopped by an employee over three times asking where I was going and what I was doing, when I answered that I was going to the toilet they reacted with arrogance and rudeness. I do not recommend this restaurant and I will definitely never come back and I will remember to avoid this place at all costs. everyone falls for it thinking that it will be good because there are a lot of people not knowing that there are so many people here because everyone is testing for the first time, reading other comments you can see...

I had such a terrible experience. As a teenage girl I’d never ever recommend this restaurant to anybody, especially young girls. I went with my PARENTS and was winked at, smirked at and made to feel uncomfortable within seconds of sitting down. After that I was given a drink with extra alcohol (and an extra straw) compared to my mums drink (we got the same thing). He wrote “I love you” with sauce on my meal, he made comments about me drinking alcohol, only spoke to ME when he came to the table (which was very intimidating) and did numerous weird things. At the end he gave me a shot for free, I’d hate to think what was in that. I wish I had said something when leaving, why is this so...
