Café de Paris — Restaurant in Arona

Me and my friends came here for dinner. The food was overpriced for what it was, as were the drinks. On the topic of the drinks, my friend who doesn’t drink alcohol for religious reasons always asks for a non alcoholic cocktails when we are out together. My friend always says “no alcohol” in Spanish and English to get the message across clearly. She had one non alcoholic but was served an alcoholic one that she was not aware of and we only found out when we got the bill. She was charged as an alcoholic cocktail for her piña colada. My friend didn’t like her drink so she had not even drank a quarter of it at this moment when we got the bill. So, giving the benefit of the doubt, I said to the waitress that there has been a mistake and she was served an alcohol free one and if it could be changed on the bill. Another waiter came back and informed us that it was an alcoholic one from the colour, but my friend just thought it was a disgusting alcohol free cocktail because she had never had alcohol before. So, since she has only had the smallest amount I suggested that it can be changed for an alcohol free one so she can enjoy it and would still pay obviously. The waiter didn’t even apologise for their mistake of giving my friend an alcoholic cocktail when they already gave her an alcohol free one as it said on the bill. It was apparently her fault that she didn’t give it back after a sip and that she didn’t know the difference in the taste. We had no issue in paying what we asked for even with it being overpriced. We were just appalled at the lack of empathy for our friend when she had never had alcohol before and it was their fault she had it in the first place. The situation was escalating and we were all getting very anxious with the waiter who was slowly getting more and more agitated with us. So, my friend ended the conversation and we payed full price for the drink and the rest of the meal and left. Please do not go here if you want good service and all around...

Worst experience EVER in my life I do not recommend to go, the only good thing about the restaurant it’s the location. Firstly the food is overpriced the service not good at all and everything went very slow even though there weren’t many people! Me and my 2 friends order paelia for them and COD the Paris for me when the waitress came I asked her what’s included as there wasn’t any description at all, she said that my food include tomato sauce and potatoes which I was happy with, we waiting the food over 35-40 mins to come when I saw my plate it had mussels and prawns inside which I was never talk about as I am ALLERGIC to it, I called the waitress and she was annoyed that I wanted to return the plate and I question her how is it possible not to have the description ingredients, she didint respond and asked me what else I wanted to order so I ordered again sardines, after another 30 mins my sardines came but there weren’t even sardines that was some different sort of fish I didint say anything I just wanted to eat and leave. When I started eating I realise that the fish was completely uncleaned the fish was full in scales and it was absolutely disgusting I had to call again the waitress she came with an attitude again and told me in Spanish “que passa” even though she know we didnt speak I showed her what happened and in what state my fish was and I said that I wouldn’t wish anything else to order as it was already the second time and my friends had already done with the food, the waitress started make faces and talking later on with her colleagues about the incident point us with fingers and been so rude, I asked to speak to manager which didint speak word of English and asked the other waiter to translate his final answer was OK WHAT YOU WANT ME TO DO? We paid all the bill except my dish and left Very very POOR service food not great I don’t recommend...

Would not recommend. Or at least during the day time. Which is also the best time. Not that it's crowded (which it is), but that the service staff seem rather unorganized. Later after i decided that i was going to need to write this, i walked by at night, and it was fairly empty. Maybe service and food would be better when there's only 3 customers. ...

I watched myself get my entire order (more in that later), while a family of 6 (who had been their before me) had to wait for their one drink each. They looked very disappointed in the time it took. By the time they got their 1 i was already half way through my meal. My order, 1 sangria and an order of the marinara mussels. .. well the mussels were cold. More like ambient temperature. Almost like they were cold, and then the air made them barely cold. The sangria was fine. .. but for €14 .. those mussels should be piping hot. The sauce tasted like it came out of a can also. It didn't really have any flavor to it.

But it's the €14 that really got me. If you're going to be slow service AND serve cold food, i would suggest bringing...
