Smallest portions I've ever had at a restaurant!!! Spent 160 euros for 2 and got around 150-200gr of meat with some bread and crackers. Don't eat here!

I went there with my girlfriend knowing that the restaurant was more expensive than the others in the area, but I saw the good reviews and we wanted a special night. We even booked a table, which was not needed as the restaurant was 2/3 empty, but we wanted to be sure of our special night. To make the night even more special, we opted for the OBSECENELY expensive tasting menu for 70 euros each. This turned out to be a shocking mistake. For the next 2.5 hours we were fed 7 bad to average to good meals with incredibly incredibly small portions, I'm talking about maybe a few bites at a time for some of the meals. The whole time we were expecting to have at least one decently sized main course, but as soon as they gave us our last course before the dessert we knew we had made a mistake.

The first and main server comes and takes our plates and asks us if we liked the meal and if we are ready for the dessert. I tell him honestly that the portions have been incredibly small and we are still hungry. The waiter scoffs at us and says "that's why it is the tasting menu" and then immediately leaves, not allowing me to reply, which I found rude and offensive. This made me quite upset seeing I've spent 140 euros on just food (no drinks) and we are both still hungry. Obviously his reply makes no sense because NO RESTAURANT MAKES A TASTING MENU THAT LEAVES THEIR CUSTOMERS HUNGRY, usually you leave more full than you would like to be since you are tasting so many different courses. The 2nd waiter comes and brings the dessert and I tell her that we are dissapointed with the restaurant and that we are quite hungry and we are probably going to need to eat at another place after this terrible experience. The 2nd waiter tells us the same "well it's a tasting menu", but this time she allows me to reply in stead of the first rude waiter. I tell her, so am I supposed to be hungry after the tasting menu? Are we supposed to order another 20 euro main course along with the 70 euro tasting menu, just to be satisfied? How come the tasting menu has a dessert if it is not meant to be satisfactory? Am I supposed to eat another main course after eating 5 courses with 2 desserts? That doesn't make any sense. Her reply was just incredible, she says that many people order a main course with the tasting menu.... That doesn't follow logic, how would one know that you will be hungry after a 7 course tasting menu? She was obviously just lying and probably under pressure by the main server who seemed like a bit of a bully. She then leaves and is absolutely not interested in offering us any more food to make our 2.5 hour 160 euro seated experience satisfactory. Then the 3rd waiter comes and takes our dessert and asks us how everything was. I tell him the same, we are very hungry still and that we are going to get some food on the way home. He tells me again "It's a tasting menu". I tell him all the same as I told the other waiter, he cannot come up with a reply because that reply doesn't follow logic, they must be trained to say that to customers. We then unfortunately and reluctantly pay the bill I was very much looking forward to giving this horrible establishment a 1 star review after my bad experience and I hope others will read this review and decide to eat somewhere else.

To the waiters that I spoke to: You should have warned us that the "tasting menu" has 1/3 to half portions of food and you should be ashamed of yourselves, how come you did not offer us any more food or offer to do anything to fix the problem in stead of just escalating? We were extremely polite the entire time, but your lack of class is just astounding.

TL;DR: Just don't eat here and go to...

Dishonest service We (couple) had the Entring to the "Dehesa" Tasting Menu. Wich ended up serving 1/3 to half portions comparing with the same dishes out of that menu. We made the math, if we had ordered the same dishes from outside of the menu, we would had had double the portions of food for only 20 euros more. The bill was of 160,61 euros for two people and we were hungry the whole time. The staff didn't inform us upfront that the portions were extra small but were very quick to have the exact same answer prepared when we pointed out the portions were small - all 3 of them (staff) - wich is telling that this is an ongoing complaint to an ongoing problem. "It's a degustation menu, sorry". The serving of dishes was also quite slow. It seemed they only started preparing the next dish when our table was empty from the previous one, what led us to stay there over 2 hours only to still be hungry. We pointed out throughout the serving that the portions were small, each time they would send a different waiter afterwards... and we were offered no compensation. We just wanted to be satisfied in the very least. Now they get two 1 star reviews that will cost them hundreds of euros in costumers because they don't understand the business; and on top of it costs their employees tips... Avoid this place, plenty of good restaurants with an actual view by the sea...

Photo: Ibérian “Pluma”… missing the truffles. Compare this portion to other photos of the same dish…. Very...

We headed here from Playa De Las Americas which took a little over 20mins and was pretty much all sea front so very pleasant (plus we stopped off half way for a sneaky Amstel on route). We had actually been here before a few years ago, but didn’t actually try all that much as it is on the higher end of the price bracket, however it’s pretty top notch and so webraced ourselves a little more and thought why not. We enjoyed a half portion of the ham aged 4 years, three cheese and ham croquettes, anchovies on rustic bread and washed it all down with a large beer and two glasses of Rioja. The whole Lot was superb, the only reason for the 4 star and not 5 (and I’d a actually rate it 4.8) is that the ham was good, but not as good as we have had for the same price in other areas of Spain. The staff members were lovely, attentive and knowledgeable. If you’re in the area and have a few quid to splash out on a nice meal then you won’t be disappointed here for sure!! £40 was the final price without tip, £4 per glass for the wine, which for me was the standout and worth visiting if...

Jamon y Mojo is a very good restaurant with creative dishes and high-quality ingredients. The food quality alone makes it worth a visit, but the delivery time could use significant improvement to enhance the dining experience. With more optimized kitchen processes, this place could truly shine. The jamón, croquetas, and bread were excellent, with rich flavors and perfect textures. However, the tacos were average and lacked the wow factor we hoped for. The Iberian secreto was the highlight tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The Canarian crab risotto, while creative, was a bit too salty and didn’t leave a lasting impression. The Agüita dessert was a delightful end to the meal, with a unique and refreshing flavor profile.

What an absolute gem of a restaurant This is by a considerable margin the best food we have had, not just on this trip to Tenerife (and we have had some excellent meals) but in the Uk too Back home I feel sure this would have a Michelin star From the wine to the starters through main courses and deserts, each course exceeding our expectations Service was incredible, from advice about the food and wine to the attentive nature it was delivered and all done with a huge smile My Wife and I cannot praise and thank you enough We came out with a huge grin on faces feeling we had experienced something very special Amazing !!! Very well done to all at "Jamon y Mojo" Nick and Trace
