By far the worst experience I have had in a restaurant in all of Spain. The fact that this place has 4.8 stars (at the time of me eating here) is ridiculous. Where to begin... the shredded cheese was disgusting. It was cold, soggy and tasted like watered down American processed cheese. The meat was exactly like the cheese, cold soggy and tasted like watered down American cheese. I normally enjoy nacho cheese but this was completely cold. Not luke warm... COLD as in someone took the can out of the refrigerator and put it right on top of the nachos. The guacamole looked like baby vomit and tasted like it was from a can. Between the three of us we ordered a wide assortment of dishes including the sampler plate which had a mix of everything and everything was equally terrible. There was absolutely nothing redeeming about this meal including the drinks. Someone needs to alert the Mexican government because this restaurant is an insult to Mexican cuisine.
To address the comments from the owner:
My experience was not from this week. I took some time to calm down to be able to offer a more objective review. If you look at all the other low reviews like this you will see a similar trend. Low quality ingredients specifically regarding the cheese, guacamole, and meats. If you are looking for constructive criticism I would suggest purchasing real cheese of a higher quality, making your guacamole from scratch with ripe avocados, and strive to offer a more consistent product. Consistency is one of the biggest things to fight for in a restaurant. I hope...
Read moreI’ve Had Allergies Since Being Younger To Fish Which Is Severe, This Restaurant Catered For Me Whilst In Tenerife And Wow The Safety I Felt From The Moment I Walked In Is Incomparable. The Upmost Professional And Safe Service I’ve Received a since Being In Tenerife.
The Taste Of The Mexican Fajitas Was Out Of This World, The Spice Was Spot On But The Flavour Was Like Nothing Ive Experienced Before.
The Length The Staff Had Gone To To Make Sure I Was Happy And Safe Is Unlike Anywhere I Have Eaten Before And Most Of Tenerife Is Highly Seafood. This Is One Of My Favourite Places And Ive Already Booked Another Trip Here For June Just As I Know I Can Eat Safely Here & Enjoy It To A Maximum.
Other Than This Restaurant I Have Only Had McDonald’s As Ive Been To Frightened To Go Anywhere. But This Mexican Place Has Drawn Me Back Already Before Leaving & It’s Amazed Me How Beautiful The Food Is.
The Bar Has Outside Seating Sometimes There Is Live Entertainment Via The Street And There Is A Stunning View Of Los Cristianos Beach Front & Ocean Which Added A Highly Romantic Touch.
If I Could Rate This Place 10 Stars Instead Of 5, I Can Confirm I Would.
Very Happy And Will Be Returning Over And Over Because Of The Difference This Place Shown To Me. Very Safe, Allergy Safe & Staff Have Very Good Knowledge. They Speak Fluent English Too So This Helped Me As I’m A Tourist From The Uk & They Understood All My Worries And Changed My Whole Opinion For The Better. Also Was Very Affordable!
Thankyou For Catering For Us We Will Be Back Very...
Read moreWas quite disappointed with the food, considering the reviews it has had. My partner had the enchilada, which was incredibly dry, had no veg in it and the sauce looked like it was lightly brushed over the top. Lacked flavour and the chicken was very stringy and tough. I had the Cochinita Pibil burrito, which was the opposite. The rice inside was tasteless, plain white rice and watery beyond belief. This made for a very soggy burrito with the flavour being drowned out by the water. Very disappointed. Margarita was great, though. But the drink I had was poor - can’t remember the name but it was just a shot of cheap tequila and some flat Sol beer. It wasn’t a cocktail. However the front of house staff were friendly with a sense of humour. The service was excellent and the food came out quite quickly. Just a shame it wasn’t very good!! We also loved the music being played. Hopefully it was just an off day in the kitchen. We’ll be willing to give it another try the next time we’re...
