Merlin Hot Buffet1 — Restaurant in Arona

Avoid! We went at 7.30 and food was terrible. Went up for starter and looked at everything. There was 1 rib in one of the rib trays. Ate a few starters and went back. Still only one rib. Took chicken fried rice and a spoon of fried rice, there was hardly any in the trays which should've been a warning really. There was no duck for starter. Teenage boy came out with one dish to replenish food whole time we were there. Took some chicken n beef curry and beef and mushrooms. Couldn't eat it told her it was awful when she collected my plate, she ignored me. When my fiance went to pay he said it was terrible and her and boss were very indignant that they serve good food. I have worked in catering and after a certain time food should be thrown out. Only the waitress was wearing a uniform. The utensils were boiling hot for serving too and a child could've burnt their hand. Lids were covered in dried up sauce too. Wish we had just left without having anything. Felt queasy whole evening after it. My advice is go else where there are loads of Chinese buffets in...

Came with my family my self husband and 2 kids after we went up and selected out food we wanted and started eating I spotted cockroachs which in other countries happens however they was all over the plates and round by dry food (crackers) I showed the lady who very quickly squashed them and wiped it down however when found baby cockroachs in our soup we had been eating i showed them and they become rude and argued with us and tried to say they wasn't bugs till I found 3 more and had to show them repeatedly it had legs and was bugs I instantly was sick and was being sick for a good hour whilst leaving the restaurant and going back to the car this was out second visit here and never again!! Was going to my usual buffet restaurant Rong Cheng but the recent reviews look like bad news and new owners . This brought me to look around and found this place, great find. Don't come here expecting a 5 star restaurant for 10 euro buffet, it's not and you won't be happy. This restaurant is great value for money, clean, friendly great selection including ice cream which others charge for, plenty of food out and regular top ups - draught beer was€ 2.90 a pint so also good value compared to others. The lady went above and beyond to try and explain something I didn't understand. Highly recommended and will definitely return. Thankyou...
