The smell will entice you in. The service will make you want to leave!!
Walked past the restaurant the day before and aroma of the food was lovely. We decided to visit the next day for dinner. We stood outside for 10 minutes waiting to be seen by the waiting staff. On three occasions staff looked over at us and just carried on with cleaning off tables and chatting with one another. There were plenty of tables to sit at (approximately half the restaurant was empty). We did consider moving on when one of the staff eventually came over and seated us. We ordered (1 Sirloin steak, 1 Octopus, and 1 Seafood paella which seemed to cause the staff some consternation as they kept saying it was a portion for 2, which i was happy to have but seemed to almost irritate the waiter?) The steak and Octopus arrived but not the Paella. 20 minutes later, after both the others had finished theirs, the Paella arrived. We sat awkwardly as I ate alone. I honestly don't know what the fuss was about the portion size... If you were really hungry, you could finish without a problem.
In summary. Having to wait that long when there was ample space, not having the sense to bring all order's to the table at the same time, and almost having to argue with the waiter to get what I wanted was ridiculous. The food was average, stake was tough to cut through although, to be fair, it was cooked exactly how it was ordered. The octopus was basically 1 tentacle split down the middle, with a wedge of lemon, and a thin line of balsamic reduction (not worth the €17 charged) and the argument inducing paella was okay at best and at €31, wasn't anything to write home about. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant and will not...
Read moreThey will bring bread at the table that you never asked for. The bread is nice and wqrm, and because you'll think it's a treat, you ll feel happy; but nothing is a treat at this modest so called "restaurant". Actually the bread is €0.90 each. The fried octopus actually is probably no more than one arm of it. The hake comes without anything extra, so we had to pay another €3.30 for a bowl of chips. And the last straw was an "Agua Gas" that we've never ordered, but for which we had to pay €1.65. There was also an extra €2.50 added at the bottom of the bill, without any mention of what that suppose to be. I am not sure if that was supposed to be the tip or something, as in the menu they mentioned that the taxes were included. My partner refused to argue with them. I had a shy attempt to question the bill but the waiter (a very rude spanish old men with moustache who never smiled) literaly pretended he didn't hear my questions.
I almost left this place in tears, as it was my last day in Tenerife and the rest of the days and restaurants were amazing. I really didn't want to leave that bwqutiful place with an ugly memory like this. I felt I was ripped off and left the resort very disapointed.
Obviously if I will ever return, I will never ever eat in this place were the service is so horrible and felt...
Read moreWe went here after a tip from a friend who had gone here a few years ago. Unfortunately, it was a massive disappointment. We ordered a fish and seafood platter. The fish was dry and tasteless. Moreover, the seafood wasn’t properly cleaned just like this fish which left us with a dirty cleaning and eating experience.
If bad food wasn’t disappointing enough, when it was time to pay we saw we were charged for bread and dips despite not having ordered it. It was put on our table when we arrived, so we wrongly assumed it was complementary. We weren’t asked if we wanted it and at all other restaurants when it’s put on the table like this it’s on the house. If they plan on charging people they need to make sure people know it’s not complementary. When we inquired about the bill the waitress was extremely rude.
Overall not a good experience and would not recommend coming here. Enough places on Tenerife to...
