I have been in Canary Island around 15 times. This restaurant is 1st place where I had to pay 4€ for Canarian Potatos starter, to realise that its served without any souses, where 1 souse cost me extra 1.80€ (I found out when we got a final bill) ...ABSOLUTE JOKE.
Beer and some dishes not in menu just on a photos...probably to not show a prices...we were advised that for 4 year old boy there is a good beef dish "Puntillas del Solomillo"...when we got it, we were amazed that it was pure beef with fries.....apart from parnsley it was without any other herbs or any other ingridients.....next shock when we got a bil......19€ for bit of beef and fries.....TOTAL RIP OFF.
Last JOKE is that my main dish "Escaldon de Gofio" wasnt even served to me...when ordering waitter asked me if I want half portion becasue its big...and finally they never served it to me. I was OK with it, as I have seen whats happening in there.
We ordered 4 dishes and all of them were served in different times. Some people eat and some people are looking other people eating and waiting for their order. Even our 4 year old son was asking when he will get his food :D
Sorry, but prices are high (some hidden), service not very good.
Dont order food from photos or drinks without asking for a price, as ypu can be shocked when paying finall bill.
In respond for our negative feedback, they responded and are not telling the truth about the hidden prices. You can see on a other reviews where people are showing photos of the menus without the prices. Please check if ypu can find a price for any drink or "Puntillas de Solmillo". What you can fint, is that there is no 1.80€ for 1 souse as well.
Neither me or my wife drink any outside water. Only our little son was drinking own flask water. So STOP lying that we were drinking outside water.
Regarding sharing food, my wife told that she would like to share a soup only with our son.
Please respond that why I wasnt served with my "escaldon de...
Read moreI see that many people think this is a great restaurant. Maybe we just caught the chef/waiters having a bad day, but our experience was unfortunately not very good. The restaurant has a few outdoor tables, which are in a dirty corner next to construction waste. Luckily, we managed to avoid thises tables. Before ordering the meal, they asked if we would like bread and local sauces. We did. We immediately paid about €7 for two small rolls and some green and red sauce. It must be said that the appetizer (Russian salad) was very delicious. Then we ordered the salad that bears the restaurant's name and a main course with chickpeas and pork, but unfortunately we regretted it. The goat cheese in the salad was tasteless, there was only 1 (!) piece of halved fig in it, and the green salad was so icy that it hurt my teeth. (It was probably still in the freezer two minutes before serving.) The other dish had two-thirds of the pork gristle and bone. We thought dessert would make us forget the bad experiences, but when no waiter came to us for about 30 minutes, I went inside to pay. It was an unpleasant experience. I hope we were...
Read morePossibly the most authentic Canary cuisine expierience in Los Cristianos. Unlike the other restaurants that propose more "touristic" or refined dishes (like the classic italian or iberic ones), here you will eat real Canary dishes, with their authentic, raw flavours, all recommended and explained by the impeccabile staff in an old building with traditional spanish music and with the possibility of the "half portion" so that you can try more things (like, in fact, i did); a great expierience for me, probably not for everyone as traditional Canary cuisine has strong flavours: i took a Ropa vieja de pulpo (the typical stew made with octopus and chickpeas), Potas en salsa (cuttlefish stew) and a "Gonfio", a typical Canary flour cooked with fried pig skin, raw onion, cheese and served with a spicy sauce (like you see in photo); if you would not like such strong flavours, the restaurant has more conventional tapas and dishes in its menu, too: anchovies, entrecote, roasted Canary cheese with jam, pork meat, cod, potatoes and many others. Highly...
