MAWI RESTAURANTE COCKTAIL BAR — Restaurant in Arrecife

I had to experience this place as I like visiting places with low ratings (I find these places most memorables). This time it was once again an experience. When we came, the restaurant was full of guests (approximately 20). We ordered quite fast but it took quite long to get some food marked as menu which I expected to be fast menus. We really enjoyed the coordination between the waiter (just one person) and the kitchen stuff. Many reviews say this is a mess but enjoyable to listen to if you speak Spanish. The waiter came to ask several times if we want a drink which was nice. Soup and salad were tasty, the main meals were of reasonable portions, I would say for the price od 11€ per person per menu it was fantastic. Both salmon and beef were tasty and enjoyable. I would recommend this place to those who are not in a hurry and want a nice meal for a good price (and of course a potential mess in orders is not an issue). I give this experience 4 out of 5 stars....

The food was amazing, and the prices were even better — great value for money! However, the service could really use some improvement. While we were there, a girl behind the bar was preparing non-alcoholic mojitos for the kids. After tasting them with a straw, instead of throwing the straw away, she licked each one and put them back into the glasses. When I pointed this out, she didn’t say a word but immediately took the drinks away and made new ones — which was the right thing to do. However, what really shocked me was that the original mojitos (the ones with the straws she had licked) were not thrown out. She just added some alcohol to them and served them to another table — to two girls who had ordered alcoholic mojitos! Maybe it wouldn’t have been so noticeable if this happened behind the bar inside, but it was done outside, right in front of customers. Not a great look for the place. The food and prices deserve five stars, but the service definitely...

10/10 we do recommend ✨ We had the octopus a la gallega and a chicken milanesa, and both meals were delicious. The ambiance was great, it was energetic but we chose to sit inside to have a calm atmosphere and it was perfect. There were 3 staff members, two girls and a guy, and even though the three of them worked our table they were somehow all in the same page and the service was not only excellent, but they were friendly and respectful and they provided a very cohesive experience overall. It was our experience that the whole team really knows how to provide great customer service, which was a lovely addition to a very tasty dinner. The value for the price is amazing.
