I had really high hopes going into this restaurant but I was really wrong. My partner ordered the Caesar salad and I ordered the octopus. The salad came out first and although there was only 2 dishes ordered for a table of 2 the salad was delivered as a starter for the two of us and we had to wait for the octopus. When the octopus finally arrived I was a little bit disappointed at the size of it but thought I’d taste it before I critiqued too much. Although the plate was hot the yellow “mush” under the octopus was cold and bland. The potatoes (if I could even call them that they were so small) were also cold with no seasoning on them, and then for the main event, the tiny little octopus was overcooked, under-seasoned, and flaky (not a good thing for octopus) Now for the salad, I watched my partner take one bite of the salad and immediately spit it out as the sauce smothering the salad tasted like a gone off goo, not to mention the cheese on top that honestly seemed like a rubber rind off a stale block of cheese. As I asked for the bill and the waiter came to clear the plates she asked if everything was alright with the salad as were returning it practically untouched as it was inedible and I said to her that it wasn’t good and my partner couldn’t eat it. She apologised and cleared the plates, but then a different waiter came with the bill he asked the same thing and I again said no it wasn’t good, but surprise surprise, the salad was still on the bill. Not even a free drink offered. Between the terrible salad, the cold octopus that should’ve been listed as starter, and the even colder wait staff, I highly recommend anyone going should stay away for food. The one thing I’ll give credit for is the location and would be nice for a drink but again, going for food? Stay away. Would give 0 stars to food if I could Edit: my partner just received a reply from them stating that we were just looking for a free meal, not taking any accountability for the fact that they run a circus and not a restaurant. Considering there was 2 people eating there should be 2 reviews written and if we were looking for a free meal why pay without giving the staff any hassle? Terribly run restaurant with management hiding behind a screen. Tried to call after I read their reply to speak to a manger about their approach and they hung up on me. Very unprofessional!

The service was awful. It really ruined the experience. To be fair, there was one waiter who was very kind, but the other 2 apparently hate tourists, specially the waitress, who made everything she could to be rude. The food was just ok. Fresh ingredients, but not well balanced. As a starter, ordered the patacones and the pineapple was too juicy, making it too sweet and hiding the taste of the lagostine. As a main, I had the octopus. The ingredients separately were good, but the pepper sauce erases the corn puree. To make it worse, just next to the restaurant there was a lady with a microphone entertaining kids. Super noisy.

We love this spot on the Charco as they have a raised terrace and lovely views. My only reason for marking the service down was due to a long wait for our main course (busy lunch time service), our servers were very friendly and professional. I really like the different dishes available on their menu, 3 of us had the house special of the Panne Cook dishes served within a bowl of bread, and the 4 of our group had the frituru. We also ordered two of the Patacones (langostino) to share between us as a starter which we loved. Definitely one to try on the Charco, we'll be back for more.

Food was deplorable, if I could rate it zero stars I would. Firstly my food came out first and we had to wait a further five minutes for my boyfriend’s food as it seemed like they had forgotten it, as we were asked if the salad was to share.

Secondly, my boyfriend ordered the octopus which was small, rubbery and hard. I ordered the ceaser salad which was completely inedible, Parmesan cheese was hard, must have been from the rind, the dressing was the worst part, taste and smell were rancid, tasted like it had been gone off weeks, I couldn’t even chew the food I spat it out into a napkin immediately.

Two of the staff didn’t seem to care about our complaints when we mentioned them and the salad was still on the bill (which hadn’t been eaten). We payed and left, we wouldn’t come back and definitely would warn everyone to...

Was disappointed after the excellent reviews so can only guess they’ve changed something! Food was greasy - the fried cheese wasn’t goats cheese but seemed to be some kind of mozzarella type cheese. Really heavy on the stomach (still feeling it!). The octopus, although cooked well, tasted of little other than the grill and smoke from the grill - the strongest flavour was the corn sauce (that was really nice!). The empanadas were also greasy and you could mainly taste the spices and the accompanying sauce, not the meat. Finally the squid was really soft and well cooked but again all we could taste was the garlic and the coating not the squid itself. We’ve had much much nicer fish on the island, that was cooked so you could taste the fish. Beautiful views and a lovely outdoor space and the staff are...
