The House of Fear — Restaurant in Arrecife

The House of Fear—despite its name—turned out to be a very pleasant surprise and one of the best dining options in the Charco area. The atmosphere is relaxed yet stylish, and the service was warm and attentive throughout our meal.

We ordered the Captain’s Sharing Board, huevos estrellados with shrimp, and fried dogfish (cazón frito), and everything was fresh and well-prepared. The flavors were on point, and the portions generous enough to share comfortably.

The fish was particularly fresh—clearly a highlight of their kitchen—and the overall quality of the food and service makes this a solid recommendation. At €64.90 for two people, including drinks, I would say the price was moderate and fair for the experience.

Absolutely amazing! Myself and my partner came to Lanzarote from England and walked up and down the strip of food places and this one looked the best! It was busy with locals and the staff were so friendly.

We had the croquettes, chicken, pork and pork and apple. We had the fried cheese, the garlic prawns and the papas bravas. Wow wow wow!! The food was so delicious and we were so full but didn’t want to leave, we had the goats cheese cheesecake to finish and it was delicious!

I would 100% recommend this restaurant, our bill including bread and aioli and 2 drinks came to €50, which we thought was amazing! The views were gorgeous too

Pésimo todo, el dueño tiene a los chavales explotados, no vayan no contribuyan a eso. Sábado por la tarde y solo dos camareros fuera para todas las mesas. Muchos olvidos, todo el rato esperando cada vez que tenías que pedir algo, tardaban media hora para cada cosa que pedíamos se le olvidaban algunas luego otras las traían equivocadas, lo corregía y volvía a tardar otra media hora. Toda la gente alrededor también indignada, por el servicio. Algunos eran listos y se ivan. Luego media hora que estuvimos esperando por la cuenta y nada tuvimos que ir a barra a pagar, daban ganas de irse sin pagar, la chica morena de la barra súper agradable, nos entendió muy bien al corregir el tiket porque como no era de esperar, habían cosas de más en el tiket y otras que estaban mal. Y los camareros parecían simpáticos pero a medida que les llamábamos para corregir sus errores luego parecía que les teníamos cansados nosotros a ellos, cuando era al revés. Pedi unas papas y estaban todas grasientas fofas y frías. Todo super indignante, el queso frito súper caro para 4 trozos minúsculos, la calidad ha bajado una pasada en pocos años. No vayan ha cambiado mucho la casa de el miedo no es lo que era. Y si el jefe no encuentran camareros cualificados pos que pague más. Que son todos unos avariciosos. Porque para ofrecer un servicio así de nefasto cierras el local. Básicamente mis amigas y yo fuimos para coger nervios. Y aun encima sentirnos culpables por estar todo el rato rectificando los errores de el camarero, que yo entiendo que mentalmente colapse por todo el trabajo que había y que solo eran 2. Porque así solo vas a ir para coger nervios y perder el tiempo, aparte de que la calidad de la comida ha bajado totalmente. Y no le pongo 0 estrellas porque google no me deja. Volveré xk me gustaba lo que era la casa de el miedo y si sigue así no me quedará otra que llevar una reclamación a consumo. Y sino pueden abarcar tanto trabajo con tan poco personal quiten mesas y pongan lista de espera, no 30 mesas o yo que se las que habría cuando no si quiera...
