I expected a lot more from this restaurant, since it places itself as being within the fine dining spectrum (for both experience and food). Food is rather unjustified, for both price and taste. Out of the four plates that we ve had, only one stood out. We ve had calamares with a kimchi and a wasabi sauce. It was ok, but we found that the sauces do noi pair that well with the dish. The red prawn potato tacos had a decent texture, but taste wise did not rise to any expectations. The focaccia was a disaster. Presenting itself as a toast with toppings, that individually might be great, but together was all too salty. Lastly we ve had a foie gras mousse, which was good. Though I would recommend they bring more fruits alongside it. As a desert we've had a chocolate mi-cuit. It was good. The dining experience was fine, place has a nice ambiance and staff was very kind. Though I have had one issue regarding service: if I start pouring the wine myself, for either one at the table, I expect the waiter to let me do it, and not come over to snatch the bottle out of my hand. Apart from this service was impecable. In summary, prices are way too high for the experience. (Topping 100 euros in our case for the aforementioned...
Read moreMy wife and I had the immense pleasure of staying at the Neri Hotel in Barcelona for three unforgettable days, and one of the highlights of our experience was the exceptional service provided by Jun at the "a Restaurant". From our first meal to our final cocktail, she consistently delivered first-class service that elevated our stay.
Jun's warm smile and impeccable professionalism greeted us each time we dined, and her attentiveness never wavered. Over the course of three days, she demonstrated a deep knowledge of the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations that truly enhanced our meals. Whether it was ensuring every detail was perfect or anticipating our needs before we even had to ask, Jun made us feel genuinely cared for.
Her welcoming demeanor brought us back time and time again, even though we were surrounded by a multitude of dining choices. It’s rare to meet someone who excels so effortlessly at their role while making you feel like a valued guest. Jun is an incredible asset to the Neri Hotel team, and we are so grateful for her outstanding service throughout our stay. If you have the chance to visit, we highly recommend dining here—and if Jun is taking care of you, you're in for an...
Read moreI went to the restaurant for my birthday with my boyfriend, and I must admit that we still have the bill stuck in our throats. Indeed, although the setting is very pleasant, the plates are much less so, especially for the price offered. We opted for the Felip menu (the most expensive one), obviously having high expectations given the price, and we were more than disappointed. Apart from the very tasty cigala carpaccio, the rest is absolutely not up to the standards of a gastronomic restaurant as you claim to be. From the starter to the dessert, we found no culinary creativity, and the dishes were extremely basic or not good at all. The chicken was more than lean in terms of quantity and taste, the croquetas were the same, and don't even mention the dessert. Not to mention the rather shaky service where the waiters were pushy, serving us wine and showing us that the glasses were equally filled (who cares, right? We're not counting the number of drops of wine in our glasses). In short, reconsider your pricing because obviously we come with expectations and they are not met. We will not return and do not recommend. Good luck, and I hope this helps...
