I recently dined at Taller De Tapas, lured by the promise of a free jug of sangria for a five-star review. Unfortunately, I cannot in good conscience award them anything close to five stars, as my experience was profoundly disappointing. First and foremost, the seafood was far from fresh. My friend experienced an immediate allergic reaction to the shrimp, indicating poor quality. Additionally, every dish was excessively salty, making the meal almost inedible. We ordered the paella, expecting a taste of authentic Spanish cuisine. Instead, we received a mushy dish with overcooked rice, far below Spanish standards. The octopus portion was disappointingly small, and it tasted as though it had been frozen and then overcooked, lacking any semblance of the tender, flavorful octopus I’ve enjoyed elsewhere. The cod fritters were another letdown—extremely salty with a bland sauce that did nothing to enhance the dish. The prawns, similarly, were tasteless and served in a small portion. A common theme throughout the meal was small portions and high prices. Every dish felt overpriced for the quantity and quality offered. To top it all off, the service left much to be desired. At one point, the waiter dropped the olive oil on our table and didn’t acknowledge the incident or offer any form of apology. In summary, taller de tapas provided the worst dining experience I’ve had in Spain. The combination of poor quality food, small portions, high prices, and lackluster service means I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save your money and dine elsewhere.

Came here as our guide recommended this chain + saw the good reviews on Google but man.. this was possibly one of the worst meals we had 😅 It was edible but I definitely do not recommend if you want to have good Spanish food (limited meals on holiday, you know) The paella was just salted with not much flavour, and the clams were soooo fishy we could smell it the moment the pan touched the table. We didn’t even have to eat it to smell it 😂 We ordered the tomato baguette and iberico ham on baguette but both baguettes came cold and stale… alerted the server and she changed the tomato baguette for us so the second time it came toasted, crispy and fresh. Not sure why they couldn’t have served us that the first time Calamari also came lukewarm but we gave up trying to complain else they would have to change the whole table of food for us haha the only item that came fresh was the croquette Overall meal was slightly below average and unsure how the reviews here were so good, either people don’t have high standards or the chef was on vacation that evening

Food is pretty good. Service is horrible. It’s a shame. The location is surrounding is very nice, next to an old church, and sitting outside next to the church wall is great. The waitress was very unpleasant and unfriendly. It feels like she doesn’t want to serve me and had a stone face when I talked to her. Then she will be smiling and chatting with the waitress next door. I ordered a beer, 2 glasses of wine and 3 dishes which is over 50 euro by myself and at the end, she just took my plate-mat paper before I could finish my wine to kick me out because she wants to seat the next customers. Usually in Europe, they let you stay even though you just order a drinks ironically, the 2 tables next to me, had more people but spent less than me.. also when I get my final bill, all the prices were higher than what I saw on the menu. When I asked, they said it was because there is a 15% surcharged because I was sitting outside.
