Nestled in the heart of Barcelona, Al Passatore is nothing short of a culinary revelation. This is not just a pizza joint—it’s a temple for lovers of authentic Italian craftsmanship, where every bite feels like a symphony of tradition, flavor, and love.
The pizza? Phenomenal. A golden, wood-fired crust that strikes the perfect balance between crisp and chewy, cradling toppings so fresh they might as well introduce themselves. The margherita was a masterpiece of simplicity—lush tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, and a basil garnish that tasted like it had just been plucked from a sun-kissed garden. But the real showstopper? The quattro formaggi. Each cheese seemed to tell its own story, blending together into a narrative of indulgent perfection. This is pizza that doesn’t just fill you up—it hugs your soul.
The service? It’s like being hosted by long-lost Italian relatives who are thrilled to see you. Warm smiles, quick service, and that subtle attentiveness that lets you feel looked after without being hovered over. These folks clearly love what they do, and it shows in every detail, from the perfectly-timed delivery of the food to the effortless way they make you feel like part of their family.
And the location? A dream. Smack dab in a vibrant Barcelona street, the ambiance is a harmonious blend of Mediterranean charm and cosmopolitan energy. Whether you snag a cozy indoor table or sit al fresco to soak up the buzz of the city, you’ll find yourself thinking, “Why can’t every dining experience be this magical?”
In short, Al Passatore isn’t just a place to eat pizza—it’s a reason to book your next flight to...
Read moreUnfortunately this restaurant doesn't know how to treat its customers. Customer service was extremely poor. They had forgotten a few orders and when reminded; the food was not properly cooked. When asked to correct this, they made faces at us tourists and were undoubtedly rude. The menu listings were described incorrectly.
When we tried to politely give our feedback, we were told that " in Barcelona we have to pay " as if we were some sort of thugs who wanted to just eat and leave without paying . Extremely offended.
However we let that slide because there was obvious communication problems, when we asked for the bill, the area manager who had previously come out to " resolve the situation" gave us our €0.35 change in mainly one cent coins.
I have attached the picture below. Pathetic and petty for a supposed area manager to have such behaviour. The area manager also seemed drunk and ignored us whilst stomping off to serve other local customers who were encouraged to gang up on us and tell us we were wrong and that we should leave.
I'd like to think that no one should or would be treated in such a dehumanising manner in London but I am not so sure about Barcelona.
I hope this place can improve its service...
Read moreMy experience was TERRIBLE to say the least. Me and my girlfriend ordered pasta tricolore which is a set of pasta of 3 different pastas and sauces to share and the cook put double salt in one pasta, no salt in the second and only the third one was fine. We started with the last pasta and we only realized something was wrong halfway through our meal. So we stopped eating because it wasn’t eatable and asked a desert and one coffe as compensation. They REFUSED saying that we ate some pasta already. I found this unacceptable and I DO NOT ADVISE ANYONE TO VISIT THIS RESTAURANT as not only they can’t put salt in pasta, but their CUSTOMER SERVICE is RIDICULOUS!!! And this happened to a local Italian, so you can imagine what you will get...
