Gocce di latte — Restaurant in Barcelona

I am Italian and I have been a gelatist in the past. I've been eating ice creams for a lifetime. I was in Barcellona for three days so you can trust me: I am not in any kind of relationship with "Gocce di Latte". Now you want to know my thought? Really Excellent Product! It doesn't make you thirsty, it is not "gummy", its taste and flavour are strong and durable.

One thing I noticed is their ice-cream lies below the level of the tray. This makes it far less flashy or blatant, but this is also a good indication that it's real good ice-cream. Real ice-cream tends to melt easily above the level of the cold air flow ("cold blade") generated by the freezer. If you see a giant ice cream, much taller than the tray it sits in, usually it's for aesthetic reasons and it's probably made up of gum and sugar.

Now that's top notch!

ps: Some say it's too expensive. I agree it's expensive compared to Italian prices. Still, I prefer paying 5 euros for a good product rather than paying 2 euros for a chewing gum dressed up to look like...

I have been 18 times to Barcelona. In different months of the year. The que for this ice cream parler in the summer can be two blocks down! An not occasionally. But day in day out. This time it was easier to try the flavours. They have great flavours. Every season they change some of the flvours. This time i tried Bergamot icecrram and Violet flower something!! IT WAS DELICIOUS DELICIOSA HEERLIJK!! my tastebuds went to the full max. Other flavours now are: yoghurt, after eight, coconut with coriander, cacao with peanutbutter, dark choclate.. and ofc the standard flavours.. next time duting spring or summer i will find some time to que up. Inhabitants of Barcelona know this Ice cream parler.. very well!! When I was there there were 11 people ordering....

Used to go there often, since the ice cream is really good. Service got very bad though. Seems like the girls working there are not just arrogant but also not quite sure about what they’re selling, so sold us lemon ice cream, while it clearly didnt taste like lemon. In fact when we came back to ask if they made a mistake they told us it is lemon curd (much sweeter). We asked for a change, since she didnt tell us before it was Lemon Curd, they agreed but then wanted to charge us again. In the end we left without any ice cream. Not going to return, too many other great ice cream places around with...
