Almas — Restaurant in Barcelona

Simply the best kebab I've ever had. At first, the low price got me worried that the portion would not be big enough. Nevertheless, the 4-euro kebab was enough to feed a hungry man. The fillings were full of tasty meats and fresh veggies, which I enjoyed til the last bite. I feel like the pictures of the foods displayed in the restaurant could use some improvements. The pictures seem like they have been taken under a dim light with a cellphone. Moreover, the restaurant did not even show up on Google Map when I searched “kebab”! I came to Esperança Street in Barcelona and went to the restaurant "Elmas" to eat grilled chicken. However, I found a hair in my food. When I told the owner, an Afghan man, he reacted very badly and said: "It's not my problem, maybe it fell into your plate from the air."

I have been to restaurants in different countries and sometimes when this happens, they have immediately changed the food or at least apologized - I have never encountered such unprofessional behavior.

If you’re a vegetarian or just care about hygiene I would not recommend coming here. I went here wanting a falafel doner and he used the same utensil to pick up both meat and vegetables! There was not separate utensils for each ingredients. A lot of the vegetables were mixed leaving a danger for people who may be allergic to certain ingredients! On top of that the atmosphere is cynical making it feel like a hospital and people were smoking right outside the door leaving a horrible smell. Health inspectors should come and check this place.
