My absolute favourite place to eat in Barcelona! The incredible food, fabulous service, the proximity to the beach, the lovely drinks and the groovy ambience. Wow, how I wish I could pack this whole place up and take it back to Amsterdam. Best Mexican I have had so far!!

Location & Ambience: (5/5) Right next to the beach. Walking distance from both the beach and public transport. It is also far enough away that you don’t get flooded by annoying tourists. The ambience is also lovely, colourful and a little over the top! That’s right we love that about Mexico and hence absolutely love this place for being a little over the top.

Food and Drink: (6/5) You read that right! It is a 6 on 5. I absolutely love the tacos here. The Angus beef tacos are heavenly but when added with the crazy spicy sauces it takes it to another level. I pride myself in being able to handle spice, but that super spicy sauce is crazy! Wow! I loved it, but I’m sure I lost quite a few taste buds in the process. But seriously the food is cooked to perfection, the portion sizes are great and the flavours are such a delight to have in every bite. The drink options are also vast and will cater to any need.

Service: (5/5) Fantastic! Gustavo, Leila and Siro were fabulous! They made sure the entire experience was awesome both times I visited. The combination of great food and service make for the best culinary experiences anywhere.

Summary: (5/5) If only there was a way for me to take this place back to Amsterdam! Either way, it is a place you have to visit! You will love it. Get the tacos! And if you like spice, the crazy spicy...

After searching for a Mexican restaurant for quite a while, we finally went there back in August and enjoyed the foot a lot. The portion was nice / big and the waiters very friendly and quick. Also the food quality was very good. Now, a couple of months later, we went again and were hoping to have the same experience. But unfortunately, everything that was good is now gone. The portions are small, it takes forever for the waiters to come and take the order. It does take even longer for the food to arrive and then it‘s not even fresh anymore. The cheese was already dried out, the meat was not juicy anymore and the chicken was the same. The even bigger upset was the Quesadilla portion, this has to be joke, right? 10,50 Euro for super small, barely filled Tacos should be a crime. So, long story short: The food taste was okay but not very Mexican. Also the portions were tiny, especially for the asked price and overall not as good as to our previous experience. The service was friendly but also very, very slow and not like before again. The whole stuff felt a bit in a bad mood for some reason. The ambient is okay - it‘s clean but nothing special and a bit too bright but that‘s personal taste for sure. What we don‘t like: They are asking for 5 star reviews and they tell you the waiters name, so the review looks more legit. I understand that restaurants face huge competition, even more in Barcelona maybe. But still, I don‘t like it because it impacts the reliability and the restaurant shines in a light that it simply does not...

I recently had the pleasure of dining here with my girlfriend and I can confidently say it's the best Mexican restaurant in Barcelona. From the moment we walked in, the vibrant decor and warm ambiance transported us straight to Mexico.

The menu is a true celebration of authentic Mexican cuisine, offering a delightful variety of dishes that cater to all tastes. We started with the guacamole, which was freshly made and bursting with flavor. The tacos al pastor were a highlight—perfectly seasoned and served with all the traditional fixings. The enchiladas verdes were equally impressive, with a rich, tangy sauce that left us wanting more.

What truly sets Internacional Restaurante Bar apart is the impeccable service. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the food they served. They went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was exceptional.

In addition, my girlfriend has severe food allergies. Our waiter took the time to answer all of our questions about which dishes contain allergens and the restaurant staff accommodated us in every way they could.

The margaritas are a must-try—refreshing and perfectly balanced. We also appreciated the extensive tequila and mezcal selection, which added to the authenticity of our experience.
