From the start me were just a couple from overseas coming in for dinner. We sat at the bar and was felt welcome. No conformation was really made, because myself and girlfriend are both from London and unfortunately don’t speak Spanish. After some very local food (which was a 10/10 I have to say) and nice beer 🍺 the owners started to “slowly” welcome us. We came to Barcelona for my girlfriend birthday, and we’re staying in the Market Hotel across the road, this place was highly recommended on google, so we just had to check it out. The thunder storm kept us in longer than we thought and with great surprise, we were excepted. Birthday cake come out and sparking wine was very kindly given away to us. - I know the trouble that’s going on in Barcelona at the moment with all the rioting - And I know this happens all over the world, but if you are polite to each other, and respect everyone believes you can truly break down barriers, and enjoy each other’s company. I highly recommend this little, but full of caricature place. ALSO HAS A BLOODY GREAT MUSIC SELECTION - FYI 😉 Good luck Stephen & Jenny 💘

When I called to make a reservation. The lady greeted me in such a happy and friendly voice. She made it possible to get us same-day reservation which I know is hard for this place. Unfortunately they do not serve their normal menu at the moment. But that doesn’t take away that the food was delicious. The pulpa was very fresh and super tasty. Their croquettes are homemade and taste incredible. The desert was a homemade puff pastry with cream and strawberries! It was amazing. Whoever said that this place is expensive must have mistaken. We paid for 4 people €90 and had two bottles of wine and numerous tapas. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a great atmosphere and one of the best tapas places in Barcelona!

It’s a nice restaurant, with a rich choice of Spanish and Catalan cuisine. The atmosphere is very beautiful, decorated in the jazz-retro music style. The service was lovely. However, the food didn’t strike me as the best, perhaps it was a bad choice.’i ordered meatballs in chocolate and wine sauce, not recommended. Garlic shrimps quite oily and spicy, liked better, the dessert was very sugary. The other thing what I didn’t really like was an acute smell(could be from seafood, or bathroom pipes) but maybe a better ventilation would help.
