Beso Pedralbes — Restaurant in Barcelona

This is a BEAUTIFUL place, unique in Barcelona. With great guests and amazing atmosphere. Decor and ambience really sets this place apart and makes it comparable to beach clubs in Ibiza, Dubai or Miami. Dinner tables are beautiful; pool is gigantic, everything is clean and aesthetic.

Unfortunately the waiting staff is clearly undertrained and not up to the task. We arrived 10-5 min earlier than 11am (opening time) as the email confirmation intimated “we expect maximum punctuality” and the hostess at the door turned us away with “check back in 15 min” in a rude way. We ordered drinks and NOBODY checked on us, asked if we wanted more etc after 1h that the glasses were sitting there empty. At 12 we order a plate of fruits (the kitchen opens at 1pm) and the waiter looked at us like we asked for the moon. We were told “let’s see I try to order but who knows if it will come”. We finally ordered lunch and asked for a substitution (add chicken to a salad): again the waiter looked at me like if I asked him to solve the Korea conflict and said he will ask the kitchen. He finally forgot and about it and also forgot part of the order. No smiles, no greetings, such a pity.

In conclusion my suggestion is to hire trained and quality stuff because the place really deserves it. It could really take this place to the next level and set it apart...

This is a very nice place. Staff is great. Service was fine. Prices are higher, but you pay for the ambiance, as well. Great place for a fun day at the pool w good music.

Why 2 stars? Food. Came on a friday right 1p, for lunch only. I was literally the only person having lunch at the time. I ordered the Mussels Beso Beach, bread service, a cocktail, amd later a glass of wine.

Mussels are not hard... here's what went wrong... they had completely failed to clean the Mussels!! They were covered in barnacles and seaweed (which absolutely affects the flavor of the sauce and mussels!!). Always clean Mussels shells. Basic. For the price, this was unbelievable.

The sauce was very watery and overly salty... part of which is explained by how quickly the mussels came out. Thin watery salty sauce... not right.

Again, if youre charging a heavy premium and claim to deliver a premium product, this wasnt it. At all.

The venue and staff were very nice,...

Will make you eat like a dog on the sunbed. Even if there are at least 25 free tables 3 meters away. (Same menu and restaurant)

Will serve you pasta with just a fork. No napkins, no knife, no spoon, no bowl to put the clam shells. Good luck.

Will leave the empty plates on the floor until you request that they take them away.

Will give you an ashtray already full of cigarettes.

Will never move the umbrella, even if asked multiple times, do it yourself like in McDonald's.

Eating here is almost as difficult as to order the food in the first place.

We would have been treated better at Burger King down the road.
