Bistrot LOCAL — Restaurant in Barcelona

Very bad lunch experience. We entered and sat on a table, before being told that table was more for "coffee takers" rather than people eating... We then moved to another one, and I was told after I ordered a coffee with milk, that this drink was more suitable for dessert and that I should reconsider my drink choice ( I stood my ground...) We were forgotten and waited 20mn for the starters, I asked for either Ketchup or Mayo for my side dish, which was forgotten too. Finally we ordered dessert before I was told the chocolate mousse was out of stock and replaced with a carrot cake. There was a hair on the cake, and the baker must have forgotten to put raising powder/baking soda in it so much it was dry and heavy. We received apologies every time something went wrong and were offered 1...

Dangerously bad!

On entering I was told there would be a 15min wait on food as the chef was eating (at the start of their lunch menu hours).

I ordered a provolone which came with the plastic covering layer still attached to the bottom side, melted into the cheese which I did not realise until half way through the food.

The only response from the staff was "would you like another or the main course?" no apology or aim to provide good service.

I accepted the main and started to eat their chicken dish but it was so dry and tasteless I had to leave it. It was just as inedible as the plastic coated cheese I'd been given.

On leaving I was still expected to pay for the 1/2 a poisonous food I was given and the 1/3rd awful main dish I'd tried.

TLDR; DO NOT EAT HERE. THE FOOD...

I ordered a beef fillet, I received it nicely looking, but the knife couldn’t cut it !!! Was so hard ! I complained and they apologized and said now the Cheff will prepare the right piece of fillet for you because the previous one was chosen buy a different person ( I don’t believe it but ) .anyway I waited for my new fillet , and the owner himself brought me half of the same fillet that I had previously and said we cleaned it from the hard parts !!! I was shocked 😳 from how STINGY and shameless he is !!! I tried to eat it but it was impossible, not even a dog 🐶 can chew that !! I asked for the bill and they made me 5€ discount, I payed and left … Never seen such an attitude of an owner before...
