Booked for 4 nights, stayed for 2 only and had to run away at 11 pm on the third night due to BED BUGS! Hostel has a great mingling culture, and heaps of programs for travellers throughout the week. They also offer free dinner every night where you get to cook together and get to know others. Location is very convenient and close to many attractions too. But that stops there. It has a serious case of bed bug infestation and the manager knows it too, however they tend to keep the rooms open and cover this with parties and food. The bites started on my legs and ankles from the second day but I didn’t think too much about it thinking it’s mosquitoes. However at the night of the third day while laying on the bed I saw a bed bug crawling right there!!! I caught it alive in a napkin, and immediately told a staff who said he doesn’t know about it or what to do, and that manager is on her way. Manager wasn’t surprised to see the bedbug, and said there was a case 3 weeks ago and they closed the room and did a full cleaning. Asked if they did anything about mattresses and she said no they put new sheets on the mattresses. They are not experts and thought that would be enough, and the bedbugs could come from the walls?! I said it’s common knowledge bedbugs lay eggs in mattress and how as a hostel manager she doesn’t know it?! I then said I cant sleep there anymore and need to be moved to their other hostel. She said it’s full but she may be able to move me upstairs in another room. Asked if they ever had bedbug issues there and she said yes!! So the hostel is booking out the rooms knowing this issue exists!! They eventually refunded us for the full stay, washed the clothes we thought may have had touched the mattress. We had to book another accommodation last minute in Barcelona which was a headache itself as everywhere was booked out and the manager was pushing us towards booking places with low and bad reviews. We eventually moved to the new place at midnight! It was a huge inconvenience and nightmare, the bite marks increased and I am now seriously worried about the rest of my luggage. So if you care about the...

Most of the reviews I read before were accurate. I stayed a week room 4 bed 3 top bunk. Best things are the staff, location and free dinners. Everything was clean and great hot powerful showers. Only 1 sink upstairs so that was a bit frustrating. Good kitchen and 24 HR reception. The only negatives were unfortunately 2 big ones if you stay in room 4 only. The door lock is hard to work so every time someone comes in they wake everyone. Been a problem 2 years and the owners don't fix. Also metal bunks that creek so much every time you turn in the bed and no privacy sheet or power for phones in the bed. This is pretty basic in every hostel pretty much. We had 2 fans and it was the end of September. No sign of air con so it must be pretty awful in the summer. They have another hostel nearby which I visited and it looked much nicer. 360 Borne. Can't comment on facilities. Personally if I came back I would choose the other hostel, just for the feel. This is clean and functional but not a hostel vibe and I have stayed in loads. Hope that helps but for a few days avoiding room 4 you will probably find it fine and the free dinners are actually really good so a big plus. If they sorted the bunks, power, air con and door it would...

This is a warning to all future travelers: do not stay here. This was, without a doubt, the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. The photos on the website are misleading. BED BUGS: On my third morning, I found a live bed bug on my bed. This is an extreme health and safety issue that should not be taken lightly. It's especially frustrating to discover this is a recurring problem based on other reviews. NO A/C: The air conditioning was completely broken, despite being listed as a room amenity. The room was scorching hot, and the staff's unhelpful response and a fan did nothing to cool it down. It's dishonest to advertise A/C when it's not working. Filthy and Broken Facilities: The shower drains were blocked, causing water to flood the floor. Multiple power outlets were not working. A light in my room was broken. The toilets were disgusting and smelled like a public restroom. The "social events" seem to be a distraction from the fact that this hostel is poorly maintained and lacks basic sanitation. Save yourself the trouble and the risk of bringing bed bugs home.

First of all, this might be the best hostel I've been in all my travels. They have all this activities all week which makes very easy to meet new people and have fun while still getting to know the best of Barcelona, free dinners, my room was very nice with locker for myself and I couldn't ask for a better location (close to sagrada familia, parks and cafes). The staff is amazing and always ready to help you and give recommendations if you ask. A very nice experience that I won't forget. Definitely going back next time I'm around!!! Thanks for everything
