Ying Bin Jiu Lou — Restaurant in Barcelona

I have been going from the USA to Barcelona and one of the coast towns every summer for at least 15 years I go for at least a month I am obsessed with Chinese food as I come from New York. I found a few places in the neighborhood where I was staying near La rambla however I was looking for even more authentic. 40 years ago somebody told me that they had one Metro stop away from me a Chinese neighborhood with about at least 30 restaurants so I ventured there one night and could not believe what I saw and I tried a few and I narrowed it down and this restaurant I made my regular the soups the food the desserts everything out of this world they have an outdoor seating area if you want to sit outside the prices are extremely reasonable it is right near the Metro stop I even walked a few times it was only 10 blocks from where I stay. According to another review, the Cabbage in an Open Pot is supposed to be the best. Unfortunately, it failed really hard when I tried it.

The cabbage was half raw and there were too much onions. When I raised the question to the waitress, her bad attitude did not surprise me of course, considering the usually bad service you get in a budget Chinese restaurant. Maybe not the best Chinese restaurant in town but still the food is very good with an interesting menu, apart from the more usual things, they do a good hot pot, they have things like frogs legs, liver, tripe, duck tongues... Reasonable price, although not super cheap, good portion size, usually around €15pp with drinks. The location is good on Sant Joan, close to Arc de triomf, there is outside seating and the staff are friendly and reasonably quick.
