Update after owner response: We sat at a table for an appropriate amount of time and it wasn’t like there weren’t other tables available anyways (at least one at all time and no queue). After we had eaten our food, which we are going to eat since we ordered it (it wouldn’t be legal anyways to resell our food or drinks), we were told that we could make a google review in exchange for a free shot. One of us did it and we got one shot which was very confusing and we were told that everyone had to make a review. So a lot of reviews are probably lies. After making the reviews we saw other people mentioning that they are adding 10% to the prices. When we got our bill we definitely compared the prices to the menu. It wasn’t the same and we were disappointed. We were then told that sitting outside is an extra 10% on the food cost, which is stated at the bottom of the menu but not very clearly. They proceeded to tell us that the 10% is how it works in Spain. We haven’t had such a problem at any other restaurant or bar and they probably have it in the food prices. To clarify we didn’t ask for a price reduction but told them to make it clearer to everyone, since we aren’t the only ones that had this problem, and to put the 10% extra in the food prices. All we are trying to say is that the 10% aren’t clearly stated on your menu as you say and that it is a trap/scam to lure tourists in. Take the other reviews with a grain of salt.
Read moreBy far the absolute worst dining experience I've had in Barcelona. The food was mid and not even worth the money that was paid. We were shocked viewing the bill and seeing completely different prices. We over paid significantly due to a hidden tax on every single dish ordered that we weren't made aware of. We came here as a group and had a good variety of the menu covered. It was...okay. Nothing particularly good. Nothing particularly bad. However, shockingly mediocre. Upon ordering the grilled beef or chicken, we found that the cut of meat used were thinly sliced minute steaks. The meat was so pale and depressed looking it looked like it had died of boredom, not slaughter. The crispy chicken... don't get me started. I've seen meteorites with a smoother surface. It looked like it needed a fire extinguisher not seasoning. They brought the dishes out at completely different times too. Half of us were eating while half of us were waiting. One of us only got their food 45+ minutes after everyone one else. The fan was overbearing and aimed directly at us. Multiple people complained but they refused to do anything about it. It made the food cool down exponentially quickly and almost made my salad blow away. The egg that came with it, was horrendously overcooked. The yolk was so grey, it qualified for retirement. In summary: if disappointment were a dish, this place would serve it cold, dry, and charge extra for it. If I wanted this level of regret, I would've texted my ex. Save your money, your time, and your taste buds. The only thing they’re cooking here is my patience. I came hungry and left with trust issues.
Zero stars. Would rather...
