Cala del Vermut — Restaurant in Barcelona

We were in this restaurant about 4-5 times over the last couple of months, but this was the last time.

Food itself and also the drinks are good.

Unfortunately the owner does not know (personal opinion) how to properly treat customers. When we (as a group of 7) payed, one of us paid, but somehow the payment was not shown in the system of the owner. Even though he showed her in his bank account that the money has been transferred she was arguing with him and being very disrespectful (saying he can not understand spanish even though he is from Peru). In the end she forced him to pay the food twice, which is certainly not a good way to treat customers. My advise to the owner is to be more respectful, as with this single action she has lost customers that came there every few weeks that also brought many new...

Good place for a quick bite and a vermut!

Service was ok, the lady that showed us to our table was incredibly nice, now the guy that showed us the menu and took our order was very rude! As if we were a burden!

It’s very disappointing to visit a place you’ve been wanting to go for a long time and feel like you’re being told to hurry. Not for me, I need to look at the menu, ask for recommendations, get to know the place and actually order things that feel like they represent the restaurant. This was not the case, the guy that took our order kept making weird faces and pushing us to order when we only had had the menu for like 3 minutes.

I’ll come back only if that guy does not wait tables anymore, preferably ask the nice lady in the front of the restaurant for recommendations! She will...

Got there at 230. Place was awesome and the food was great, then at 3 it totally changed. I think the main family running it left and another woman took over.

We sat for 45 minutes trying to get our check. We asked for it twice over 20 minutes. When I finally tried to give her 40 euros for our 35 euro meal, she got mad and told me to wait another minute. Then made a show of how impatient she thought I was being, incurring laughter from the other guests around.

I was really liking this place, wanted to come back for the remainder of our stay, but after this experience I will not be returning. Truly makes me sad as it did seem the main folks running it...
