Really nice and cheap cocktails 🍸 (starting at just €3.50 💶), like their amazingly sweet-acid Tamarindo Daikiri, which I would recommend to anyone without a doubt! Also, I don't find tamarindo too often out there, so it's really worth trying it here. They also offer Mexican 🇲🇽 food, thought it may not be the most authentic one in the city. If you want to try that at a good price, maybe the best option is to come for lunch, as they have a nice menu. Also, the nachos are the perfect accompaniment for the drinks, thought if it is really good nachos what you are looking for, I would advise you to go to Burrets (near Plaça Espanya). They even have mole! Going back to La Rosa Negra... The interior is colourful and charming, full of curious details like dolls hanging from the walls, and there's a really nice atmosphere. The problem is it gets really crowded, specially at nights, so it's not the most confortable or cosy place at that time of the day. I would advise to come early enough to get one of the few tables that they have on the lower floor, or to stay for dinner too and get a table on the upper floor, where you can sit and chill out without being constantly surrounded with people walking around with their drinks. Also, when it gets so crowded, it can also get quite noisy 🔊. Otherwise, La Rosa Del Raval is another good option, almost the same as this one, but not so popular/touristic.

amazing Mexican food- the shrimp quesadilla was not available so we took the pineapple and pork one along with the beef burrito. for a 10 euro burrito, it was huge and filled both me and my partner up. we took the house speciality mojitos as well - they were nice but personally we thought they tasted too strongly of alcohol and drowned out the lime and mint taste. would’ve drank many more of them if they weren’t so strong. still, the food is very much recommended for its price and taste. It’s hard to get Mexican food this good for this price here. protip: dip everything into the brown sauce - I don’t know what it is but it’s mildly spicy and incredibly good. probably a house secret. the waiter was quick and we were served our food within 15 mins of arrival. overall a pleasant experience, go if you’re in the area and have no clue what to have. 짜지않고 맛있어요 제발 가세요 - 비프 부리또 거의 2인분 ㄷㄷ 한국인 여성분 둘이서 가시는거면 한개로 충분할 것 같아용

Avoid this place at all costs, and try any of the nearby ones, that have quality workers and working cards. This waitress managed to steal 60eu from my card as shown by bank receipts, on my bank app, text and email, and now the other waitress in the comment below is lying to cover themselves. I don’t normally argue with waitresses, but these ones are going to get fired ASAP. The information has been sent to the local authorities and I will personally follow up until their license is suspended. I’ll be following up with local authorities to make sure they don’t accept low quality in Barcelona, but meanwhile find a better place (literally all nearby restaurants are great). They can’t accept cards, only cash, and the waiters are untrained and attempting to lie about charging me the same bill three times. The next cafe had working card readers, and quality staff able to operate it. If your card readers aren’t working, you should not be doing business here and you will be reported to the authorities as such. I have now checked and it looks like they did take 20euros from my bank account 3 times, and I will be reporting them to the police, and I will point out their claim the card was ‘declined’ when I showed the receipt on my card, bank app and phone, meaning that they are lying. I am glad they learned a word in English (‘sinister’) as the staff seems to speak 0 English and I stand by the description of the waitress behavior as ‘third world’. If the lying, cowardly commenter is ‘proud’ of the ‘lovely’ staff that probably shows the review is correct, they are indeed also not educated and it is representative of this place as I have dozens of positive reviews of quality restaurants who hire quality people(not this one though). They ran my card twice and the 20eu bill showed up twice on my card as accepted. I also have my receipt on my phone and sms. I see it and leave. The waitress runs after me on the street yelling after me like we’re in some mexican telenovela. Then i paid them the 3rd time in cash. Meanwhile waiters confirm their card machines are not working due to ‘weefee’ and the waitress is there making a ghetto scene. I warn staff about waitress behavior being ghetto, but I get the vibe they know how they are and trying to hold into these jobs. 1. When you hire people, make sure they have basic training and basic manners, no tourist wants to deal with third world people in Barcelona and they don’t have to. 2 if you have a restaurant, make sure your stuff works, as it’s your main job and you get reported otherwise. Less paz i luz, and more of you doing the job you are paid for, or...

After reading the reviews I was excited to bring my team to try of what many have said to be the best place to try mexican food in Barcelona. We came in and were sat down very fast and I thought it was going to be a great time.

After ordering for our table, we decided to order some shots while we wait for the food. Quickly 10 mins in the nachos came out and they were good, but this is the last good thing that happened.

We waited 20-30 mins for the shots and I looked around the place wasn’t even packed. So I thought you know what it’s fine maybe they’re backed up with orders for drinks. Then I saw the bartender just stand there for awhile so I just thought maybe he’s having a bad day.

After the shots came out we proceeded to wait another hour and no food had come out, in the meanwhile 2 more small groups came and sat infront of us.

I was extremely disappointed that the 2 small groups that came much later than us were served their food before ours? I asked the waitress and she said yeah give us 5 more mins.

20 mins later the food arrives and they have 2 of our orders wrong. By this time we were tired and I felt like complaining wasn’t going to get us anywhere, so we start eating anyway. Suddenly our waiter comes up to us 2 mins in and tells us that its last order in the next 5 minutes.

Then she just smiled and left and I couldn’t help but laugh. We weren’t loud or demanding and we were tired from work and wanted to grab a casual dinner.

Towards the end, our waitress comes up to us and says how was everything? I just shook my head and said not good and told her that the food took way too long. She just stared at me confused and I told her that the party infront of us not only sat much later than us also got their food first AND that the order was wrong. She then started being defensive and raising her voice but at this point I’m not here to argue so I just shrugged and left.

I was deeply disappointed with the service tonight, if the waitress had come to us and at least explain what was happening it would make us feel slightly better. The defensive part was the icing on the cake, i’m not going to bash you or anything but why ask if you know you’re not going to receive great reviews and then raise your voice? What was the waitress trying to achieve?

All in all the food was marred by the horrendous service. 0/10 service 6/10 food 9/10 atmosphere Decoration and...
