I sadly cannot recommend La Central.
I say this as someone who's eaten a burger in most every country I've visited: the burgers were good - in the end - but the service was sorely lacking.
The welcome was cool. We were directed upstairs, but then told off by another staff member for sitting upstairs.
We then ordered our food via a QR code and very shaky website, but were still asked if we wanted to pay service...
Our chips arrived, assuring us the burgers were not far behind.
They were another ten minutes, by which point the chips were cold. Thankfully, my burger had a reassuring 'well done' flag - a dietary requirement as opposed to choice, dear reader.
I took my first bite. Bright pink. I awkwardly sent it back and waited ten more minutes, by which point my wife was finished.
The second burger arrived, 'well done' flag standing tall. 'All good,' I thought, 'mistakes happen, I'm not going to rate them down for...'
Bright pink on the first bite. I returned the burger and asked for a refund, instead being told to wait two minutes.
I waited ten more.
Now, don't get me wrong: my wife's burger was great. When my THIRD burger arrived, actually well done, it was great.
My enthusiasm had, by then, evaporated, with absolutely no gesture given. Even something as small as another beer would have smoothed things right over.
We left as the staff member asked us if we had enjoyed the service, then interrupted himself to tell off another couple who were - you guessed it - told to sit upstairs.
I'm so sad to say it, especially as this might just be a horrible, awful one-off, but don't go to La Central if you don't want the risk of the sad, final evening in BCN that...

His attention to detail, warm personality, and genuine passion for ensuring customers had a great time were remarkable. He patiently explained the menu, offered fantastic recommendations, and even checked in to make sure everything was perfect. It’s rare to find someone who clearly loves their job and makes the dining experience feel personal.

It was a bit crowded, they choose self service (mark with a check mark) so it suppose can save time for comunicates. Burgers v ordered one Vegana PAN BLANCO Euro 8.95 another one was Clasica Euro 7.60 Total: Euro 16,55 both burger was great and tasty their have vegetables inside. The beef patty have thickness so it can keep moisture and meat just from raw to cooked. The Vegana one a bit more fiber mouth touch with fully turmeric taste. Burgers bun are totally beautiful burned brand name.
But the service of all memmbers how to describe? a kind of rough? Why I said that? Bcz I saw one of staff didn't allow customer sit down before he purchase, but that customer only one man walk in. So he try put down something first to buy. It will made u feel like they get your money and push you out from shop as early as they can.
Well , it won’t make me feel badly, I just wonder that’s your boss wanna staffs work like this? All is personal feelings I apologize if I got wrong feeling about this.
If they have some day go to Asia (such like Tokyo or Bankok) they may know what is “service”? whichmeans customer come to shop pay money buy food (something) but it is not only that object , they will get more services. Anyway I got good service inside...
