Food On The Floor I was going to give 3 stars until I saw something horrific happen in the kitchen. I'll get to that in a moment. I ordered an acai bowl with various toppings and a cortado. I told the person who took my order that I would have it downstairs, and she said she would bring it to me. After 25 minutes, and the sound of countless customers coming and going upstairs, I still hadn't received have my order. I went upstairs to get it myself, and still had to wait three minutes to be acknowledged. This was despite the fact that my order was sitting on the county, ready to go. It was handed to me to take downstairs, but I handed it back because I ordered blueberries as a topping, and there were none. Also, as you can see from the photo, the cortado was not properly made. Yes it was sitting there, too, getting cold. So the fact that I had to wait so long and my order was messed up and neither were acknowledged were enough for a 3-star review. (The bowl was actually pretty good, though too small for its price – 8,50€.) But then, as I was working on my laptop downstairs at a table that looks into the kitchen, I heard a noise and looked up. One of the ingredients – I have no idea what it was, but it was solid – slid across the floor into the doorway. One of the two women smiled at me, picked it up, walked over to the sink, rinsed it off, then continued to incorporate it into whatever recipe they were working on. So at some point that day or later this week, someone is going to eat something that was on the floor in a kitchen where no less than four people have entered and exited since I have been here. I was hoping to finally find a quality cafe in Barceloneta, but I was disappointed.

Mixed feelings about this place. While the food they do serve is delicious and coffee is good (though they add chocolate without asking), there are serious drawbacks. Surprisingly for a breakfast café, they didn’t have eggs at that day. And they didn’t tell that in advance for us. The self-service setup would be fine if the staff weren't so visibly unfriendly. The space is problematic: all seating is downstairs via steep stairs, and there's an unfortunate toilet smell in the dining area. Pre-service forced tipping is another odd choice. Pros: Good food quality, decent coffee Cons: No eggs, unfriendly staff, toilet odor, awkward layout, forced pre-tipping Bottom line: Despite tasty food, too many issues to recommend. Better breakfast options exist elsewhere.

FROM GOOD to DISASTER. The first time it was a fantastic açai. The second time it already tasted like a reduced version, adding too much banana. (Probably to save money) And the third time, hoping it would be better, it tasted like milk….it was all creamy and silky of the coco milk (they mix in without mentioning) and barely tasted like açai. I only found out by asking what else they mix in. Can’t recommend this place. It’s anything but açai. Rather name it smoothie bowl. Won’t come back another time. I was about to ask for a refund. What a waste of money. When I mentioned that it keeps tasting different, the 2 staff just looked at me without words like they have no clue how to handle customers.

I’ve been going to CocCo house for years, and each time I walk to the beach, I look forward to their coconut smoothie and gluten free sweet breads. I was so disappointed in the changes that have been made - a sterile, beige atmosphere, significantly smaller smoothies in an annoying plastic can, and higher prices on the breads. I was equally disappointed in the changes that have not been made. There were still only two people working and the wait was ridiculous. Sadly, my disappointment outweighs my pleasure, so I won’t be returning. Thanks for the good run, though! I will forever crave the Blue Immunity smoothie, which yes, I have been missing for the past 3 years.

I appreciate the response and can't find a way to respond directly to it. It would have been wonderful if the redesign of the upstairs space had created more work space to accommodate additional employees and high demand, rather than increasing indoor seating which seems unnecessary. I understand the increase in pricing of supplies and the need to survive economically. I'm sure there will be plenty of tourists reading and willing to pay, and I wish you...

I went there on a lovely afternoon, but the girl making the coffee was totally absent-minded. When I asked for recommendations, she just said, “Look at the menu on the wall yourself.” 😡 The coconut matcha I ordered had a weird taste, like matcha powder mixed in dishwater, and it cost 5.5 euros 😂. Overall, my good mood was completely ruined by this place. Thumbs down!

One week after this comment 👆i received the feedback of the owner saying that this comment should not be for them cause they are closing now for renovation and saying they don’t have menu on the wall. First of all I want to say the first picture they have on google map shows the menu on the wall…And second, my comment was not for a recent visit but for the day of 29th of January when the sop was still open, I still remember a girl who wore green headscarf attended to me and offered me a horrible service. I wrote the comment just to provide the feedback to let the owner see how their service can affect the mood of the customers. Besides the drinks there are not cheap, so I think it’s reasonable that the customers get better...
