Hello,
A week or so I decided to go for a what was supposed to be a nice evening by the beach with my girlfriend and we decided to stop by your restaurant for a dinner. At first we waited for a table without anyone noticing us until we got their attention, we were then seated. Upon sitting down we began to read the menu and ordered our food. When the food started to come my girlfriend ordered a veggie burrito and some fries for herself, while i ordered some vegetable rolls. When the waiter began to bring the food, he dropped the ketchup all over me, i was wearing a pair of 500eur light grey jeans and 200eur sneakers, which were now all covered in ketchup, they are stained and will never look the same. Yes accidents do happen, and that’s totally ok, we are all human, however it’s how you and your staff decide to deal with them that matters. I had then asked for a glass of water to try and wash it off, the waiter simply handed me some napkins and proceeded to go serve another table, which i found extremely disrespectful and disappointing. When they brought the second round of food they had also brought my vegetarian girlfriend who had ordered a veggie burrito a meat burrito, which she did not want to eat, however as she is very shy and polite she asked me not to complain. After a ruined evening we paid the food, did not touch it and left, she ended up giving the food to the homeless. The way your team handles these these situations is utterly disappointing and i can assure you that you have just lost a customer that has been returning for the past three years or so.
This message was initially sent to the management team of Surf House which have chosen to ignore it, so now it’s up for the public to see how the restaurant choses to treat it’s guests.

Read moreI was really looking forward for visiting this establishment. Starting with the order we were sitting on our table for like fifteen minutes with no respond from the stuff. So we ended up calling the waitress to order (we checked the menu online they did not even brought us one). The terrace was full but there were at least two members of the stuff just chatting and chilling. Could be some misunderstanding cause others get their order pretty fast and of course even before us. Looking over this, we ordered a 1,3l jar of classic red sangria - it was 30% ice, 40% water and the rest was some juice, lemons and a little bit of an wine/alcohol. Definitely not worth the cash. For an appetizer we went for baked nachos - amazing, flavourful.. nachos is baked with cheese, beans and jalapenos, topped with cheddar sauce, some sour cream and guacamole. For main dish we got ourselves a poke bowls - tuna and vegan. There was a mistake and they brought us a salmon instead of tuna, but we did not complain (the girl was even double checking the order). Again, amazing stuff the vegan was sweet and sour, topped with sriracha sauce and the seitan was amazing as well. Salmon was that what you expect and directly very good. Lastly, the atmosphere was something you want to feel - the beach, sun, light breeze. But that as what all beach bars have :) Conclusion, worth the try but I would never visit this place again. Simply the cash is not matching the food, even if it was delicious (expect...
Read moreHonestly, super chill spot. Pretty good food and a reliable cast of waiters that help make the experience pleasant.
When you’re in Spain and homesick for an American/California leaning salad, this is the spot. The nachos come properly loaded and the salad comes without canned corn. What else could you ask for?
Additionally, the waiters are super nice and mostly bilingual. You feel like they are there to help. They all seem like level headed, smart folks.
I was able to bring my dog to eat outside and they didn’t have any issue with them. Although I will say, a few times they mentioned bringing him a bowl of water and no water was ever brought. This happened a few times over different visits to SHB. I get it, it’s a lower priority task in the scheme of things so I didn’t consider it in my rating scheme.
-1 star for two major things:
1.) the lock of the women’s bathroom is broken and has been for at least a week… which means if you want to use the bathroom without someone walking in (they will), you have to use the men’s room. Seems like a pretty high priority thing to fix!
2.) the price isn’t cheap. I think it comes with the location and the food being severed, but it’s worth mentioning that the items are definitely above local averages for...
