I think I was one of the first to jump on the trends of 🇰🇷 food, of 🇯🇵 food, of açaí (that's for sure!)... but there are a few trends I can't follow that easily, like the Peruvian 🇵🇪 cuisine trend. 🤷♂️ I remember the first time friends took me to a cevichería I was like "meh... 😐". I don't mind my 🐟 being raw at all but, precisely, I think the marinade somewhat cooks the 🐟 and I'd rather have it cooked for real or raw for real. Plus I'm not a big fan of 🍋. That said, a good ceviche with good quality fish is an excellent dish. Last week, I had some yums (from TheFork) to spend, so I booked a table for lunch at Cumpanamá cause I figured ceviche would suit my wife's rather strict diet. I must say I was greatly surprised by the extensive menu. 😃 See, I don't recall going to a 🇵🇪 restaurant which wasn't a cevichería. And at Cumpanamá, they do offer ceviche but it's just one item amongst a lot of other ones... which all sounded delicious! Of course, that was not possible so I settled for tacu-tacu (which is supposed to be a mixture of rice and legumes, mainly) and patacones (plantain) con guacamole. Plus I got to eat everything my wife couldn't 🤗 (all the sides, basically) so I ended up super full (I didn't even have dinner that day!). TBH, I loved everything, from the complimentary snack to the sides of all the dishes. I even loved the anticucho, which is... 🐮 heart! It was so tender and tasty! Ok I didn't know what it was before I ate it and I don't think I would have tried it otherwise cause I was convinced I didn't like that... but I'm glad I did! 😎 The service was excellent and our waitress was very nice: she took the time to explain every dish so we could order what we would like the most. 🙏 We spent about €30 each, no dessert, no wine, which I found expensive at first, but when I think about the quantity, the quality and the type of food, in the end, I think this was a fair price. 👍 I'll go back and try the rest of the menu. 😇

Read moreThere have been two other reviews about people being essentially forced to leave a tip without an option at this restaurant. The management responds to the reviews saying this is not the case. However, this was very much the case for me. Either the management does not know what a member of the staff is doing, or it is the management, who is actually cornering people into an awkward, forced tip. Something is definitely odd at this restaurant. I wouldn’t trust all the five star reviews.
This was the first time in my life in Barcelona after I asked for "la cuenta" one of the servers came up and asked me to choose what level of tip I would leave for him. It wasn't an option. It was so weird. Most people don't tip in Barcelona but I tend to leave change. To be basically forced to tip, and in a very upfront way was unsettling. He wasn't friendly but had been ok for the rest of the meal. We had had an ok experience. Service was a bit slow but that wasn't bothersome. The food was lacking (the steak was like leather, but I didn't mind and just ate the plantains and lettuce and some rice and egg. I had been speaking in English with my friend who doesn't speak Spanish. Basically I guess they assumed we were tourists, but even so, you can include the tip option in the checkout process, but this wasn't that. It was just a guy coming up after we paid and basically cornering me to put a tip into his machine. Very odd. And really spoiled what would have been a mediocre, but ok meal with a friend.

Mis spring rolls no estaban calientes estaban frios y con sabor a descongelados. el segundo plato era um chaulafan con pollo apanado, el pollo estaba frio de nevera y mal calentado! tenia sabor a guardado, cuando se lo comento a la camarera me dice ok te lo vamos a calentar, nunca me cambiaron ni el arroz ni el pollo luego, me traen de vuelta el mismo plato, ahora con el arroz frio y el pollo recalentado: al ver esto devuelvo el plato, y nunca nadie se me acerco a pedir ni disculpas ni a saber que habia pasado. pido hablar con la encargada, no se hacer cargo y me manda a un camarero a regalarme un postre, encima el camarero me dice que lo que yo he dicho me lo estoy inventando porque mucha gente come ahi y yo soy la primera en quejarme!! De verdad que no regresaría, no solo por la comida porque a ver a todos los puede pasar pero el trato que recibí en el restaurante fue el peor, no me dieron importancia y el día de hoy estoy con el estómago mal! Por haber probado el pollo de ayer! Pésimo servicio
No me voy a poner a responderte porque evidentemente no estabas allí y lo que me estás contestando no es verdad! La encargada estaba allí, me vio y me mando a regalar un postre. Lastima que no tome fotos pero te puedo asegurar que el plato fue devuelto y no estaba comido como lo indicas y peor en su mayoría si mi reclamo es que la Comida no estaba Fresca. Yo fui a comer ese día a las 4pm y se lo que pasó en su restaurante! Se que le robaron a su clienta y lo puedo entender totalmente si la Comida se enfrió porque estaban “muy preocupados” por lo que había sucedido ese día. Pero ese no es el caso, y que me trates de mentirosa o mal educada no es la verdad. Su camarero fue el irrespetuoso y ni me escucho lo que le decía que cuando me pidió que le repita fue cuando yo le dije que no se lo iba a repetir y que por si actitud al igual que ala de su encargada mejor se quedara callado y que no me trate de justificar lo injustificable. A mi nadie se me acercó 3 veces como tú lo dices para ver si estaba todo bien! Yo devolví el plato 2 veces y absolutamente nadie me vino a preguntar nada! Yo llame a las camareras para que me retiraran el plato y me calentar a la comida que no estaba fresca. Un pollo seco y frío y el arroz la segunda vez frío obviamente porque solo me recalentaron el pollo en vez de cambiarlo.
Así que por favor antes de responder con cosas que no son verdad o decirme mal educada por favor asegurarse de que lo que estén sirviendo y que su personal esté a la altura.
