Disgusting food and service.
I recently had the misfortune of dining at El Bocinet, and it was a disastrous experience from start to finish. Everything, from the rude and unprofessional waiter to the abysmal quality of the food, left me deeply disappointed and dissatisfied.
Let's start with the waiter, who appeared to be the epitome of rudeness. From the moment we sat down, he seemed disinterested and unenthusiastic about serving us.
Now, onto the food, which can only be described as repulsive. The dishes we ordered were not only unappetizing in appearance but also lacked any discernible flavor. The ingredients seemed stale, as if they had been sitting around for far too long. It was evident that no care or attention had been put into the preparation of these dishes. It was a culinary disappointment of epic proportions.
What made matters worse was the waiter's refusal to accept any criticism about the food. When we tried to express our dissatisfaction, he became defensive and argumentative. It was both unprofessional and disrespectful. Instead of addressing our concerns, he chose to engage in a pointless confrontation, which only further exacerbated the unpleasant experience.
To add insult to injury, El Bocinet had the audacity to charge exorbitant prices for this subpar dining experience. It was clear that they were attempting to pass off their lackluster food and abysmal service as something of value. I cannot fathom how they justify their exorbitant prices when the quality of their offerings is so abysmal.
I strongly advise against dining at El Bocinet. The rude and unprofessional waiter, the disgusting food, and the overpriced menu make it an establishment that falls far short of even the most basic expectations. Save yourself the disappointment and find a different restaurant where your taste buds and your dignity will be treated with the respect...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this small tapas place after our Sagrada Familia visit. We wanted to eat something small because it was already 15:00 but we decided to have the menu of the day for 10 euros (1 appetizer, 1 main and a drink). Best 10 euros I've spent for food in Barcelona so far. Melon was big and juicy paired with salty ham (portion was huge). I got the hake (for the main, served with fries and grilled pepper), which was minimally seasoned but so fresh with 1 glass of cold white...
Read moreIf you are looking for the worst restaurant in Barcelona, this is it! Their specialty is cheap knockoffs of real Spanish food. Tapas are microwaved, the tasteless mushy paella they served us was made with regular rice instead of Spanish “bomb” rice. The location is good and you are probably safe if you only order drinks, but there are so many amazing inexpensive restaurants on every corner that visiting El Bocinet is a...
