A Hidden Gem

This place may not look like much from the outside, and for some reason the reviews aren’t always glowing, which truly baffles me. If I didn’t live in the neighborhood, I might have walked right past it… and what a shame that would’ve been!

I come back regularly, especially for the Ceviche, which is hands down the best I’ve ever had. I already liked Ceviche, but I didn’t know it could be this good! It’s perfectly tangy and spicy, served with tender chunks of sweet potato, Cancha (crispy corn), Choclo (large Peruvian corn), and topped with red onions that add just the right bite.

Every other dish I’ve tried here has also been excellent, and what a great deal! Just 15 euros for: A generous portion of Ceviche A main dish (I had the Malaya beef, delicious!) A pastel Tres Leches for dessert A drink

All fresh, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients.

To top it off, the service is exceptional. I’m always warmly welcomed by the two señoras who take care of the tables with genuine kindness and grace.

In a way, I’m almost glad El Señorío de Perú hasn’t gotten the recognition it deserves — because that means I can still find a spot on their sunny, tree-shaded terrace, just steps away from one of Barcelona’s most touristy...

Food was ok, but service was awful. We sat inside and waiters spent the whole time screaming each other, which obviously made our experience not the best.

We waited 40 minutes for the first dish and then another 40 for the main ones.

On top of that, it's really expensive keeping in mind the whole experience you get. For the same price you could eat in one of the top Peruvian restaurants in Barcelona such as Yakumanka, Kokorokó or Totora and get good food as well as infinitely better customer service.

TRES PELOS EN LA COMIDA!!! PÉSIMA CALIDAD Y ATENCIÓN

El sabado 31 de agosto a la hora de almuerzo acudí con mi hijo y un adulto. Pedimos menú para niños, ceviche y arroz con mariscos. Al traernos el plato infantil, antes de que la mesera nos dejara el plato en la mesa, nos damos cuenta de que el pollo frito tenía un pelo, a lo cual la mesera nos dice que no sabe de donde ha salido, que nadie en la cocina tiene el pelo descubierto. Nos indica que nos traerá otro plato. Al traernos luego el arroz con mariscos, vemos que tenía otro pelo al sacar la primera porción y nuevamente la mesera nos dice que nadie en la cocina tiene el pelo así, nos sentimos ofendidos, y luego NOS APARECE OTRO PELO EN EL MISMO PLATO!!! Le decimos que por favor nos traiga solo el plato infantil que ya llevaba mas de 30 minutos esperando. Luego nos trae el plato diciendo que estuvo todo ese tiempo buscando mas pelos en la olla de arroz en la cocina del restaurante en vez de traernos el plato. Finalmente nos trae el ceviche que dijimos que ya no queríamos, lógicamente después de tres pelos. Nos trae de todas maneras el ceviche y nos deja sin platos para compartir. No es hasta que la jefa de turno o dueña casualmente nos pregunta que ha pasado que nos ofrecen una humillante compensación de no pagar el plato con pelos. La peor atención, tiene a una señora mayor atendiendo toda la sala, la señora en ningún momento nos ofrece disculpas, solo exclama lo sorprendida que estaba por los pelos. NO...
