El Xiringuito Group Barcelona Beach (Platja Sant Sebastià) — Restaurant in Barcelona

No words. Absolutely absurd. By far the worst part of my trip to Barcelona. My mother recently passed away & I came here for some oasis hoping to soak up the sun while having a nice drink & meal. I was sitting down for over 5 minutes, got my order taken(1drink, 1 appetizer, 1wrap) & within 1 minute of my order taken the waitress came back asking me to move because the couches are a 2person minimum. There was at least 2 more open couches & no one was waiting mind you. (Im curious now what would have happened if i said no) I said okay thinking there would be a table with the sun but unfortunately there was not. I decided it best to find another spot on the beach. I let my waitress know I am okay & thank you for the offer as she is holding my drink. (Mind you I had JUST put my order in& then they asked me to move) She starts telling me I have to take all my food & everything is already made... I explain how i would just like a seat in the sun. The bartender starts yelling at me threatening to call the cops because my food was done & I needed to pay. I tried explaining how no one told me I had to move until after taking my order but before I could even speak she continued to yell. After making a scene I was so overwhelmed & going through what I am I could not handle it & I began to cry. I have no idea why these people felt the need to get aggressive & threaten me. I understand most customers are probably annoying & try & leave without paying ( I used to be a server I get it) but that was not my intention at all & what was supposed to be a relaxing day turned into a day of crying. I hope these ladies are happy to have...

We came here on a relatively quiet day after main season. The place is located directly at the beach.

We were able to place our order relatively fast. Unfortunately the food is pretty bad - it's definitively one of the worst 4 cheese pizzas I ever had. My companion had the nachos which didn't seem much better too.

While service was good at the beginning, it became worse and no one would look after us...

Given it's location, the price tag is high. Because the food is bad, I'd say go there for a drink - the food isn't worth it's price at all.

Si quieres esperar 40 minutos antes de que alguien siquiera te te haga caso, este es tu sitio. En ese tiempo tuve que cambiar de lugar tres veces: tumbona → terraza → otro sitio. Parece que el juego de las sillas es parte del servicio.

¿Pedir algo? Imposible. Primero me ignoraron por hablar inglés, luego no me dejaron sentar porque la mesa supuestamente era “para cuatro personas”. Finalmente, después de mucha discusión entre los compañeros, me dejaron sentar… acompañado de miradas desagradables de todo el personal.

Cuando por fin llegó mi comida, el camarero ni siquiera me trajo los cubiertos. Tuve que pedirlos yo mismo, como si fuese un castigo por haber pedido algo.

La guinda del pastel: el mismo camarero me preguntó si yo estaba buscando un problema o si tenía algo contra él. Para nada, solo quería comer… pero aquí parece que eso ya es demasiado.

Conclusión: Si te gusta esperar, discutir, sentirte incómodo y encima pedir hasta los cubiertos, este es tu lugar. Para hospitalidad, mejor busca en otro lado.

👉 Actualización: incluso la cuenta tardó 25 minutos y tuve que pedirla dos veces. Aquí todo es una espera, menos las malas miradas del personal… esas te las dan...
