We had a 3 course set menu. All food was heated up rather than cooked fresh. Lasagne entree had raw carrots with cooked veggies and bechamel sauce. My stew was a combo of thin silverbeet broth and a pile of pre cooked veg, meat and offal added to it by the waiter at table. The resulting stew had very little flavour. The dessert was a cheesecake slice with "berry coulis" that tasted like sugar syrup.
Response: we had 3 courses, so your 5 course menu did not reflect our reality. Crudites are usually served on the side of the main dish, and raw carrots do not combine well as a lasagne ingredient. All food lacked flavour compared to the dozens of other restaurants we have been to in Barcelona over the years. The dessert tasted like sugar only, no berry coulis. Instead of questioning my review defensively, do something...
Read moreWe stopped here today on a way from Gaudi's Park to Segrada Familia. We ordered sangria (which was very nice), pork carpacio (very delicious) together with bread with tomatoes and one of the best dishes I have ever eaten - potatas bravas with octopus. The place is small, but there are seats also outside. The music was just the right type for us (jazz) and the service was very good. It is highly recommended and the best place we have eaten so far in Barcelona. It may not be fine dining, but the food is 5 star plus for a very reasonable price!!! Absolutely...
Read morePasta Carbonara is a disappointment - came late, was cold, was overcooked, had sour cream and spices and was nothing you would expect from an experienced cook. I also tried the pizza quattro formaggi and it was low quality, fatty, dough was still white on the bottom. Mentioned to the waiter that this is not the Italian recipe for the pasta and was reminded that I was in Spain. Geography lesson aside, I would not recommend this place, at least not for the Italian food as it apparentely has a Spanish twist to it that should explain...
