I ponder a lot regarding writing non 5 star reviews. I'm giving 3.5 because it's a neat experience but hard to justify the cost vs value (although price is probably in line with entertainment options in the area). All in all, an experience worth considering if you are in the vicinity on a really hot day. the pros: ice cold experience, very welcomed this summer touristy entertainment area next to the casino and the beach the cons: short on content. small space (makes sense due to operating cost at this latitude) means just a few novelty statues it's designed to be a short experience: ofc, the fact it's cold, so you do feel uncomfortably cold after 15-30mins, loud music, short drink. take your pics, influence a bit and back to the heat. the suggested 45mins timeframe stated on the website is misleading
suggestion: either be more clear on the duration (about 20mins) or provide additional content to make it feel worth it. something silly like blue/green syrup guns to shoot at a tiny flavorless ice-shake given at exit (to add retention/consumption in the terrace area), smarter led lighting inside the ice blocks, a terrace drink discount) or a challenge to go in in swim suit and out straight to the water (or viceversa). anything to better justify the price, which is ok for the area, but not great.
note I've edited the minion, to make photo more visible to my two minions. don't expect great photos anyway.
edit: fair point made by the owner regarding pricing. also, on the rgb lighting, a custom, per sculpture inexpensive set up could be added, to...
Read moreIce Bar Barcelona: A Chilly Delight with Tarik and Liz! 5 out of 5 stars Brrr-illiant! The Ice Bar Barcelona was an absolute blast! From the moment we stepped inside, we were transported to a winter wonderland. The ice sculptures were intricate and impressive, and the whole atmosphere was just so much fun. But what really made our experience unforgettable were the bartenders, Tarik and Liz. They were both incredibly friendly and welcoming, and their energy was contagious. Tarik kept us entertained with his jokes and stories, while Liz made sure our glasses were always full (and helped us warm up!). They were both super knowledgeable about the drinks and made some fantastic recommendations. The cocktails were delicious and definitely helped to keep the cold at bay (though the cozy capes they provide helped too!). The music was great, and the overall vibe was just perfect for a fun night out with friends. If you're looking for a unique and memorable experience in Barcelona, the Ice Bar is definitely worth a visit. And be sure to say hi to Tarik and Liz for me! Tips for your visit: Book in advance: This place is popular, especially during peak season. Dress warmly: It gets chilly in there! But don't worry, they provide warm capes and gloves. Don't miss the photo opportunities: There are some great spots for pictures inside. Ask Tarik and Liz for their cocktail recommendations: They know...
Read moreWe went to icebarcelona on a Wednesday night on our last day in Barcelona, and let me tell you - if we had Diego as our server every time we would move to Barcelona! The ticket included one cocktail served in a cup made of ice plus however long you want to hang out in the ice bar itself. The bar has several cool (and very smooth) ice statues, neon decorations, and places to sit. Pretty much everything in the room is ice. They give you a jacket and clean gloves to keep you warm in the freezer, but it is still pretty cold! If you want to stay long, I would recommend dressing warm. It’s also very conveniently located next to some of Barcelona’s most popular clubs like Shoko and Pacha. It was nice for us to have a few drinks there before heading to the clubs. It would also be nice to take a cool and refreshing break on a hot summer day on the beach. The best part is when you finish in the ice bad, you can walk out front right onto the beach and have drinks while sitting there if you’d like. Diego and Kalilu were our bartenders for the day, and were very welcoming and personable. They handled the idea of a novelty...
