Aguaribay — Restaurant in Barcelona

Just had lunch here. It was supposed to be a set menu and we were 2 adults and a kid 6 years). We could choose a starter only or starter with a main course or 2 main courses, etc. and each combo comes with a drink, yogurt with fruits and bread. Since we were 2 adults we got 2 main courses and a starter for the kid. We ordered only 2 of the 3 included drinks and 2 of the 3 included dessert. The portion sizes for the main course (which cost 12€ each was TINY. The starter, which was 10.8€ had exactly 6 pieces of small cubes of polenta. We thought that since the drinks/dessert was included the portion size was small. But the kicker was when the bill came we were charged extra for every single dish as it’s own and not as a combo and we’re charged EXTRA fee as we were ‘not supposed’ to share!!!!! I have not heard this in ANY restaurant that I have ever stepped foot in. If that was the case why the heck did they not give us the 3rd drink and the dessert??? And why was the portion size like a small plate as opposed to a main course?? My ravioli, the size of a starter, ended up costing 15€ VERY POOR SERVCE and EXTREMELY LOW...

Una atención pésima. Quisieron ganar 13 euros sirviendonos 4 cervezas a 4 amigas, para acabar pidiéndonos q nos fueramos a los 10 min porque había venido gente que quería cenar. Sin preguntarnos si íbamos a cenar. Según los derechos del consumidor no te pueden obligar a comer o levantarte... A no ser q se indique explícitamente en un cartel, carta, o lugar visible. La verdad q nos dieron la noche.

Sigues teniendo un trato pésimo cuando me llamas mentirosa. La chica q nos sentó que no fuiste tú por cierto, nos aviso que si venía alguien para cenar que la mesa era para ellos porque ganabais más con la cena, le preguntamos que si nos ibais a echar a los 10 minutos o nos podiamos tomar la cerveza tranquilas... Xq sino no nos sentábamos. Nos dijo: hombre no esteis 3 horas con la cerveza y ya está. Le dijimos q nos la tomábamos y nos íbamos. Cuando tú viniste, q fué a los 10 minutos desde q teníamos la cerveza en la mesa, la copa había bajado 2 dedos y te lo dijimos, nos dijiste q había una mesa esperando. Xq no vino la chica, y hablabas tú en su nombre? Quizás le daba vergüenza echarnos xq nos había dicho otra cosa? Encima dices q después de pedirnos q nos fuéramos nos diste 10 minutos más.... Ohhhh muchas gracias...fueron los mejores 10 minutos de mi vida... Super tranquilas! Nada enfadadas... Nos sentó fantástica esas cervezas q nos costaron 13 eur, xq te recuerdo q nosotras éramos clientas y los q venían aún no. Trato pésimo y me lo acabas de demostrar. Tu ves normal 20 min para tomar una cerveza por 13 eur yo lo veo un timo cuando a los 10 min nos das la noche. Es más... No éramos la única mesa q solo tenia cervezas... Pero decidiste echarnos a nosotras. Ganaste 5 clientes a cenar, perdiste en ese mismo momento 4 clientas... más la gente q nos conoce. Eres un increible relaciones públicas... Gracias por llamarme mentirosa sobre una conversación en la que no estuviste presente... Te has retratado! Quizás tendrías q leerte los derechos...

Had an bad lunch experience here on Sunday afternoon. They forgot all about our main courses, and left us waiting over half an hour for the food to arrive. When I asked the waiter to check what was happening with the order, he just kept repeating the food was coming out soon. When the food finally did come out, they made no attempt to apologise or offer anything in compensation for their mistake e.g. free desserts or a discount on some part of the bill. In addition, having paid over 100Eur for 2 starters, 4 mains, kids meal and a few drinks (no wine or desserts) I feel this was totally overpriced for what was quite standard quality...
