La Cátedra — Restaurant in Barcelona

Me with my 2 friends went here today at 12:30 pm and placed an order . Both thier sandwich and seafood dish came . It took 45mins to let me know that they forgot to bring mine , doesn't know whether they had made mine or not . Order was taken by a lady with kind a attitude. And went and complained this to the waiter as well (old slim guy who knows only spanish). Actually she forgot to pass the ticket to kitchen and the guy was saying "no english only spanish". And when i asked for the food he said sorry , i guess he said sorry because he doesn't know English. It was really a bad experience for me . I do recommend the management to add more English knowing workers as the customers who come there aren't just spanish , thank you.

The restaurant has gambling machines in the middle of the room, ruining the atmosphere. To our drinks, we got a mix of soft and crispy, salty chips. We had Burgers which are accompanied by Salad and Fries. The Fries were soft and unsalted, the Salad was without any seasoning, as blank as putting Salad, tomatoes, paprika and corn in a bowl. The burger meat was raw. We asked if they could re-fry the fries, which they did, but they returned them only after we were done with our meal. Awesome place to go. Everyone is welcome no matter if tourist or local. Ome waiter speeks decent english. All are very friendly and helpful. Off the chain local food. Been there a few times on my vacation with my wife and always had a great time. You can not beat there dayly menu. Try it and enjoy by yourself! Highly recomendable!!!
