*READ all the pages of other 1star reviews before you go! Its shocking, and even more so the replies from this restaurant! Such poor, distasteful management. NOTE the strange amount of fake 5 star reviews mysteriously popping up after a low scoring review. *
Really confused why people have left 5 star reviews for such a below average place. But then I see they're mostly left by Americans so that explained it. To the rest of us who live here and are accustomed to great quality food; The portion sizes are HUGE - and of really low quality! I had an omlette that was pretty below average with a side salad of greens with fruit and carrot w/a dressing of KETCHUP! My husband had the American breakfast which was completely tasteless and MASSIVE. Wont return, way better off with a cafe + bocadillo from any corner bar. Save your coin!
EDIT: I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS ZERO STARS! Why don't you address the matter of why your food is so terrible instead of getting so offended by a truthful review?
What's upsetting is that instead of handling the comments in a mature way, ensuring that the person didnt continue to feel cheated out of the meal they had, you proceed to silence them instead.
I hope everyone reads this, as well as your reply to see that your management is as bad as the food.
PS. To further my comments; as someone who has lived in South Korea for many, many years - please stop calling the food on your menu "Korean". That is NOT bibimbap or bulgogi, and if you had any idea what those dishes were, you wouldn't serve them in such a poor, misrepresented form....
Read moreHonestly, disappointing.
The service was very slow after a long line. It was the lunch rush, sure, but they seemed understaffed regardless. We waited ten minutes just to get a menu.
After seeing all the reviews of how amazing the food was, it wasn’t... great. Not bad, just kind of unremarkable. I wasn’t looking for an American cuisine place, but, as an American abroad, I can say they’re not doing it right. Portion sizes were generous, but it didn’t make up for a lack of quality. You expect the bacon in Spain to be excellent, and it was just so plain. Same with the sausages, the dry pancakes. I will admit, the French toast was good.
The Americano with the free refill caused an issue because I asked for soy milk the first time (they promise free refills for the Americano). If this were truly in the American diner style, I wouldn’t be able to finish my sentence without someone refilling my cup. Otherwise, the staff were nice enough, just stretched thin.
So, expensive, slow service for not very good food. If you’re lucky enough to visit this amazing city, I’m no expert, but I’m sure you’d do better to save your money, buy a sandwich and coffee to go and see the sights. I honestly prefer the Denny’s in Dubai over La...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place but it just missed the mark.
We had the “Hungry Heart Pancakes” (whipped cream + strawberries) and the “Manchitos Tail” (eggs, pancakes, bacon, potatoes).
My boyfriend asked to switch the pancakes in the Manchitos meal from plain to blueberry pancakes, the waitress said not a problem. When the food came out, there were both plain and blueberry served, so we had to pay for both when we just wanted a substitution. So now he had double pancakes and an extra 8.50 charge. Also, he asked for no cheese on the eggs, which was mentioned on our receipt, but the cooks did add cheese. These aren’t huge problems, just hard to rank this place higher when this is the case.
As for me, the hungry heart pancakes were meant to be cute and cut into hearts, but all this meant was that they were smaller than the already pretty small pancakes, and yet cost more.
The pancakes themselves were pretty dry, both mine and the GF version my boyfriend ordered.
So two stars for creativity, the gluten free options, and ok pricing, but the actual food wasn’t very good at all, and the serving/kitchen mistakes really took away from...
