Our favorite place and in our hood!!! Don Jesus retired and sold his business to a great local group that restores historical businesses and buildings. They have done an amazing job with this gem of a place. Don Jesús is famous for having the best vermut in Poble Nou and it is still there! Amazing staff and ambiance. Loved by the locals, this tiny tapas bar is outstanding. The tapas are homemade and although the service can get slow depending on the time of day (it can get pretty busy and I believe it's family run), its worth the visit. The coolest part of this pub is the adjoining wine store to its left. It sells wine directly from barrels for takeaway, and the pub's self produced bottles of wine.

Estábamos dando una vuelta por la zona camino a otro sitio y lo vi, así que a la vuelta le dije a mi pareja de hacer una paradita. Personalmente, los establecimientos de toda la vida que mantienen el encanto y esa añoranza por lo vintage con respeto, me encantan. Por lo que escuchamos acababan de "reabrir" asi que le pregunté a los camareros, un equipo de gente joven muy eficiente, y nos dijeron que los nuevos propietarios pertenecen a un grupo con espíritu de preservar la identidad de los locales con identidad. El establecimiento se divide en 2 partes, la bodega llena de barricas. Y el bar con un interior no muy grande, pero parece que tienen terraza exterior. En la barra, donde te puedes sentar en unos taburetes altos, hay unas vitrinas con diferentes gildas. La que yo probé estaba muy buena pero me pareció excesivamente cara (2,95€). Tambien tienen expuestas las tortillas, que llaman la atención. Nosotros probamos la de verduras (calabacín, berenjena y zanahoria) que la acompañan con unas rebanadas de pan con tomate, estaba todo muy rico. En cuanto a la bebida, la cerveza de surtidor...
