Lato — Restaurant in Barcelona

Back again almost a year later …. And it is just as good. Truth be told, I’ve been back a bunch of times - every time I come to Barcelona, in fact! The place is great. The staff and nice, helpful and always smiling. The ambiance - inside, in the outdoor alcove or on the sidewalk under the umbrella, is great and the food is still outstanding. Great and unique tastes, consistently prepared across the menu with high quality ingredients. The Chimborazo pulled beef with tree tomato aji (in picture) is so zesty and juicy and the Lato pulled pork sandwich was fantastic. My friend has tried the vegan and vegetarian items and really liked them as well.

Great coffee, too. The mimosa are excellent and made with fresh orange juice (though note that the unlimited mimosas are not as good as the normal ones, but are still a great deal).

This place is a hidden gem.

+++ The food was well presented and rich in flavor. My Chimborazo was full of flavor and texture (you do need to eat it right away before the bottom para ones gets soggy).

Service was nice, also.

List of repeat customers and all you could hear people saying when they arrived for the line or were sitting down was “I love this place”.

Lato brunch is the place where I found the most delicious breakfast in Barcelona. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the dishes served to me. The eggs Benedict with salmon on a soft, juicy bun were particularly memorable. The combination of flavors was simply perfect. Additionally, the roasted potatoes with herbs stood out, reminding me of rustic village cooking. Each dish was garnished with fresh greens, adding a special touch. The "cherry on top" was the fried banana, which complemented the overall aroma and taste of the dishes.

The coffee at Lato brunch was incredibly delicious, and its presentation was admirable. It was evident that great attention was paid to detail, enhancing the breakfast experience.

Apart from the excellent food, I was amazed by the incredibly beautiful design of the establishment, featuring alpacas. It created a cozy and pleasant atmosphere for the visitors.
