A Nightmare on a Plate – Racist, Rude, and Revolting If you’re British, save yourself the humiliation, the expense, and the agony—don’t step foot in this vile excuse for a restaurant. I’ve never encountered such blatant hostility, poor service, and outright racism in my life. From the moment we walked in, we were treated as though we were an inconvenience simply for existing. The staff didn’t just look disinterested—they looked openly disdainful. Smirks were exchanged between them, and they spoke to each other in hushed tones while darting glances at our table. The message was loud and clear: Brits are not welcome here. It wasn’t just cold service; it was actively hostile. When we dared to ask for something as simple as a menu, the waitress rolled her eyes so hard I’m surprised they didn’t fall out of her head. Every interaction was dripping with contempt, from the impatient sighs to the exaggerated “misunderstanding” of our requests. One waiter even made a snide remark in Spanish, thinking we wouldn’t understand. Unfortunately for them, we did. And it wasn’t pretty. The food was an absolute disaster, but it almost feels secondary to the treatment we endured. Still, let me give you the highlights: bacon that was 90% pure fat and 10% insult, eggs so undercooked they practically squawked, and coffee that tasted like it had been brewed in a toilet cistern. I genuinely questioned whether the chef had ever seen food before. Then there’s the grooming—or lack thereof—of the staff. Dirty fingernails, stained uniforms, and hair that looked like it hadn’t been washed in weeks. This wasn’t just unprofessional; it was outright unhygienic. One waiter had the audacity to scratch his head and then handle cutlery without so much as a thought for washing his hands. As if the meal wasn’t horrifying enough, the payment process was the final nail in the coffin. The cashier scowled at us like we’d personally ruined her day, snatching the card machine from the table with a huff and barely muttering a word of thanks. We couldn’t escape fast enough, but even then, they exchanged another round of smug glances, laughing as we left. The endless stairs felt like a metaphor for the entire experience: exhausting, degrading, and utterly pointless. If you’re looking for a place that combines racism, atrocious food, and service so bad it feels personal, then congratulations—you’ve found it. This wasn’t just a bad restaurant experience; it was a masterclass in how to alienate and insult your customers. If you value your dignity, your appetite, and your general wellbeing, avoid this place like the plague. 1/5 stars is still too generous.

Today I had the pleasure of dining at a charming restaurant in Barcelona that left me utterly impressed. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the delightful aroma of authentic Spanish cuisine. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the mouthwatering paella, which was cooked to perfection with a tantalizing blend of flavours. However, what truly elevated my dining experience was the impeccable service provided by a waiter named Mati. His warm smile, professionalism, positive energy and attentive demeanor made me feel welcomed and valued throughout the entire meal. Mati’s extensive knowledge of the menu and genuine passion for hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to my day in Barceloneta. Overall, I can’t recommend this restaurant enough for anyone looking to indulge in the finest Spanish cuisine in Barcelona. With its amazing paella and exceptional service from Mati, it’s an experience not to be missed.

What a great restaurant for value and I'm not just talking about the price of the food. This is a restaurant that's perfect in every aspect from the efficient and friendly service to the excellent food to the beautiful decorations! I really felt welcome here and left fully satisfied!! For food, we ordered the muscles (11.5 Euros) and the meat lasagna (10Euros). Both were super delicious! A lot of seafood restaurants tend to skimp on the dishes and give you small muscles or prawns but Mar beach did not disappoint; the muscles were the right size! Be careful going to other restaurants along the beach though some are tourist traps and will over charge you.

During my recent visit to Barcelona, I had the pleasure of enjoying an exceptional culinary experience at "Mar Beach Restaurant Bar." This charming establishment not only stands out for its prime location with breathtaking sea views but also for the unsurpassed quality of its food and the warmth of its service.

From the moment we entered, the close and professional treatment by the staff was evident. We felt welcomed and well cared for, enjoying a service that combines efficiency with a personal touch that is much appreciated. The restaurant's facilities are modern and cozy, creating a relaxing yet elegant atmosphere, perfect for enjoying an unforgettable meal.

The culinary offerings at "Mar Beach Restaurant Bar" are simply outstanding. Every dish we tried was delicious, made with fresh ingredients and presented impeccably. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and the restaurant's location in one of Barcelona’s most sought-after areas.

However, what truly made our visit memorable was the restaurant's ethical commitment. When we ordered a Coca-Cola Zero, we were surprised to receive an alternative brand, and upon inquiring, we discovered that the owner has made a conscious decision not to support brands that contribute to global conflicts. This policy not only demonstrates a brave and humanitarian stance but also invited us to reflect on the importance of consumption decisions in our current world.

In summary, "Mar Beach Restaurant Bar" not only offers a top-notch gastronomic experience but also upholds ethical and humanitarian values. It is a place that not only feeds the body but also the soul, and I highly recommend it to everyone looking for a conscious culinary experience...

The service at this place was the worst we've ever experienced. We decided to give it a try because we wanted to savor the authentic and renowned Spanish paella. Despite being on the higher end in terms of price, we expected a pleasant dining experience. However, it turned out to be quite the opposite. Firstly, we had to wait for our food for more than half an hour. Secondly, when we inquired about the Wi-Fi password, the waiter, who claimed to be new, couldn't provide it and suggested we ask his boss. It was puzzling why he couldn't seek the information for us and return promptly. The paella itself was appalling—dry and lacking vegetables. Even though it was a seafood paella, no lemon was offered to complement the flavors. We paid €61 for both of us and left the restaurant still feeling hungry. To make matters worse, the restroom was dirty and had no toilet paper. We had to ask the waiter twice to bring us the bill as he seemed to have forgotten about us. Overall, it was an awful experience, and we strongly advise against...
