I absolutely love Indian food and can say this is quite a good restaurant. The lady who was at the front was very friendly, warm and welcoming, made me and my cousin feel very comfortable. She made suggestions when we asked for it ( checked if we needed any help soon after we got seated, didn't have to wait long ). The butter chicken we had was very good and spice level was adjusted exactly according to our request. The side dishes - pilau rice and naan were quite good too. (Portions in general are just enough for one person I'd say, Not to share. But we don't eat a lot in general so it was perfect). The vegetable samosas were huge and had a very rustic home made feel, which was nice + came with a very tasty sauce (which I couldn't figure out - but enjoyed ) I loved the Gulab Jamun itself, but found the pairing of that with ice cream a bit strange :) I've eaten gulab Jamun for ages, eaten it in India and many other countries but it's usually great served itself without anything else, just in the syrup, in my opinion. I feel the ice cream took away from the taste of the main hero of the dessert. ( however- One Gulab Jamun for the price it's a bit high, I feel, as I've had Indian food in different places in Madrid, so comparing the serving sizes ) The brownie and ice cream, Masala Chai was tasty. I tried a spicy mango mojito because it sounded very exotic but it was not to my expectations, unfortunately. I did feel some hint of spice at the end plus it did feel like a mango syrup. It was average.
Anyway, the main host was very nice and dishes in general (which we tried) were quite good. I trust the team will improve and make it even better. (Especially for a mid range price tag). Best wishes and I think it's worth visiting to see...
Read moreWhy does this restaurant not have a 5-star rating? It’s surprising that a place serving synthetic paneer gets 5 stars while this restaurant, offering the most authentic Indian food I've ever had in Europe (not just in Spain, but across the continent), is rated only 4.7. We tried the Dahi Puri (prepared in true Delhi style), Samosa Chaat (delicious), Cholle Bhature (🫰), Pav Bhaji (must try), Lacha Paratha, Vanilla Ice Cream, and Mango Lassi. Everything was exceptional, leaving me wondering why this restaurant doesn’t have a perfect score on Google. Is the platform perhaps biased? Maybe it’s just public opinion—after all, as they say, haters gonna hate. Despite the bustling crowd, they arranged a table for us within five minutes. So, am I biased in my praise? Absolutely. Having lived in Germany for the past two years, I’ve missed Indian food dearly. Without the true Punjabi touch and the right blend of spices, my search for authentic Indian cuisine continued—until now. Trust me, this is the best Indian restaurant I’ve found in Europe. I'm writing this for anyone like me who’s scouring Google for Indian restaurants serving vegetarian dishes to satisfy their cravings. I highly recommend giving this place a try. And last but not least, the staff's behavior is exceptionally good, making you feel right...
Read moreFood 4/5 - Correctly executed, but missing the indian spice and spicy punch. That's a common issue in Indian places in Barcelona, local food is bland and places tend to adapt to that. I suggest to give clients the option to choose the level of spiciness. Onion Pakora - Nice presentation and crispy, really liked it Rice and Naan - They were good, rice portion were generous, the Naan could've been a little bigger Chicken Tikka Massala - Correct portion size, good chicken quality and creamy sauce. I missed more intense Indian flavors though Dahl Makhani - Same, it was good, but missing Indian flavors.
Service 3/5 - It was slow, took a long time for us to order. As soon as our food arrive we asked for some extra Naan, since by seeing the portion we new we would need more. It took forever to arrive, we almost gave up. Same with the check, almost 10min until someone looked at us so we could ask for it.
Atmosphere 4/5 - It's nicely decorated, maybe missing some details for a more cozy or...
