A disaster of a sushi place! The service in this restaurant ruined our whole all you can eat dining experience. We were a group of 5 friends and our expectations were pretty high because we've tried Sushiko and we absolutely loved it, but it was in another location (Francesc Macia). The moment we sat down, the waiter said we could only order 5 dishes per person per round but that did not bother us, once we gave our order to the waiter they started bringing 1 dish every 5-6 minutes so not everyone of us was able to eat at the same time and at times we were left without food at all for more than 10 minutes! I mean what's the point of going to all you can free buffet if the service is like this? Everyone was complaining around us, so we decided to complain too but it was useless cause we barely ate 10 pieces of sushi per person and 2 hours had past already, oh and they intentionally forget half of your orders. I'm a big fan of All you can eat sushi buffets and I know that I should not expect the best service, or best quality as these places focus on quantity rather. We probably were unlucky that day at Sushiko but the experience was so bad we won't be coming back to...
Read moreWe are American tourists on our honeymoon and didn’t realize the hostess was giving us a Togo order “deal” at Sushiko in Barcelona. We sat at a table until we received our food in Togo containers and simply thought there was a mistake. We started to eat our food out of the Togo containers and were accosted by an angry and extremely unprofessional employee from the kitchen who chewed my husband and I out for not taking our food togo as it was a Togo only deal… With the amount of amazing restaurants available in the same vicinity, I suggests you choose somewhere else. It’s not worth the disrespect given for a simple misunderstanding and the sushi was sub par anyways. We packed up right away, my husband was not able to finish the beer he purchased there and we ate on the beach. Completely uncalled for, I hope he’s ashamed with himself. Kindness and respect are not hard...
Read moreEven though i understand that an “all you can eat” place does not offer luxurious food, you must be aware that sushiko has a bad practice where they bring you a lot of dishes you haven’t ordered so at the end you pay the extra fee. They brought us some different rolls than the ones we ordered and we didn’t know, so we ate a bit, and when asking for the check they brought us the food that we did ordered, and got frustrated because we were full and rejected the food. My tip is to write down the number of dishes you order and to double / triple check if the food you get at the table is the one you asked for. Besides that, awful service, you really have to insist for wasabi and ginger and i must tell you i’m fed-up with waiters that don’t even apologize when you show them they were wrong. My advice is to go to a normal sushi place because the overall experience here is...
