This is my favorite breakfast, lunch, after work cocktail, and mobile work spot in all of Barcelona. I’m an American and come to BCN for work 3-4 times a year; when MARMOT opened it immediately my favorite place to hang out. The bikinis are a GREAT snack and the sandwiches are the perfect size to enjoy with fries (although the side salad with miso dressing is NOT to be missed) for a tasty relaxing meal while you sip delicious espresso, OR, alternatively, perfect for sticking in your bag as you explore the city or head to your next appointment. It’s a wonderful mix of locals and explorers, doesn’t feel touristy or kitschy at all. Everyone is welcome! Genuine staff makes everyone welcome and cared for. It’s a small team, so they’re often very busy, but never too busy to smile and make you feel at home. Last two things: SPOTLESS CLEAN BATHROOMS. There are also two, so there’s NEVER a wait. The cleanliness of cafe bathroom is key and often gets over looked. Not at MARMOT, everything is so well cared for; shows how much Miquel cares for his restaurant. Finally, while they don’t have a sticker on their door, this place is absolutely LGBTQ friendly and welcoming!

Edit: This used to be one of the best breakfast places in the city but today my favourite sandwich came with regular white bread (as did the bread for the eggs benny), the avocado on the eggs benny was hard, and my latte was initially made with cow’s milk. To add, we waited 25 min for the food and they increased their prices. I’m so disappointed. 😞 When you run out of products, please inform your customers in advance so they can decide for themselves whether they want to spend the same money for lesser quality. Excellent sandwiches (the bread is delicious) and coffee for a great price. Kind service and a cute interior. Definitely my new go-to for brunch in this area.

Marmot is a MUST TRY! It’s a little hidden gem right nearby Sagrada Familia. It boasts an affordable, yet delicious array of breakfast sandwiches, sides & beverages that will not disappoint. The quality of ingredients is next-level: crusty & sumptuous bread, delicious mix of toppings, and the crispiest (in the best way) potatoes you’ll be thinking about for days later. Our large group tried most of the classic sandwich options (all very good) and the Spicy Chicken sandwich combo which as you can see pictured here, was amazing! Run, don’t walk, to enjoy a Marmot brunch en route to your Sagrada Familia reservation. We are so glad we did!

Got food with Too Good to Go €5,19

As written in the description, I was given a Coca Cola, a cookie and two sandwiches. The cookie was not to my taste, not being chocolaty enough and dry (not crumbly / shortbread / biscuit), though that is kinda the idea of the app. The two warm sandwiches were identical, and looking at the menu pics online, I don't even know which ones they were or if they were just made with the leftover ingredients they had. Cheese, mustard, tomato, ham (?) slices, porchetta like meat.

They were pretty good, not a combination of ingredient I would personally choose and would have rather have two different ones, but on in all it was a...
