Disappointing Dining Experience
My recent visit to Kaoru was nothing short of disappointing. As someone who appreciates fine dining and values quality service, I expected a lot more from this establishment, especially considering its higher price point. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by several significant issues.
Food: 2/5 stars
Firstly, the quality of the food was a major letdown. Some dishes were poorly prepared; for instance, one particular item was overcooked to the point of being inedible. The most egregious error, however, was finding a receipt in our shrimp dish. This not only indicates a lack of attention to detail but also raises serious concerns about food safety and hygiene.
Service: 1/5 stars
Secondly, the service was subpar throughout our visit. Despite having a reservation, we found ourselves constantly reminding the staff about our orders. Each reminder seemed to fall on deaf ears, resulting in a prolonged and frustrating dining experience. Additionally, the orders we received were either incorrect or missing entirely. The staff appeared inattentive and overwhelmed, and it was clear that proper training and management were lacking.
Atmosphere: 3/5 stars
The atmosphere was decent and met the basic expectations, but it could not compensate for the significant issues with food and service.
In conclusion, Kaoru did not meet the expectations set by its price and reputation. The combination of long waits, incorrect and missing orders, poor food quality, and substandard service makes it difficult for me to recommend this restaurant. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and implements the necessary changes to improve their overall...
Read moreWe have gone today, at night. 4 people with the Gold Menu (26.95€, drinks not included) and some drinks for 121.90€. We haven't chosen the Diamond Menu, because even tho it says it's an “unlimited buffet”, the Wagyu is limited to 1 per person, and taking into account the price of the menu (38.95€), it's not really worth it.
First, the menu does not have much diversity, especially when it comes to the meats. You eat the first round and the next one you don't know what to order, not because you're full, but because you don't have much choice.
Second, while we were finishing the first round of meat, we ordered another round, repeating some meats and ordering sushi. They brought the meat in no time, but it took about 20-30 minutes for the sushi to arrive. In the end, since it was taking so long, we didn't even wait for the last plate of sushi and left. We arrived at the venue at 8:30 pm and when we left it was already 10:45 pm, spending most of our time waiting for the food to arrive.
Third, regarding the waiters, no complaints, very helpful and attentive.
Finally, since it is a barbecue place, it would be good if they put extractors on each one, because if not, the smoke goes to our bodies and clothes.
I would say that for the price and the options they offer, there are certainly other places that are more worthwhile and have more variety. It left a lot to be desired. Some meats even turned into dry meat balls while eating them.
We are sorry, but we probably...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic Japanese restaurant, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was calm and welcoming, with a touch of authentic Japanese charm.
The menu offers a wide variety of traditional dishes, all beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The sushi was incredibly fresh, and each piece was like a work of art. I also tried the ramen and some grilled items, everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection.
What truly made the experience memorable was the attentive and friendly service. The staff were knowledgeable, gave great recommendations, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. Especially kristian who attended us very well and was very kind.
Whether you’re a fan of Japanese food or just looking for a new place to try, I highly recommend this restaurant. I’ll definitely be...
