I had a salmon Benedict and an oat latte. When my drink came it was in a very large glass. When we ordered our drink we did specify a small latte. The latte was huge, and when we asked the waitress about this she said that was the usual way to make a latte, I have never seen one this big in my life. As it was of course extremely milky tasting I asked how much milk was in it and she found out for us that it was 290ml. In my experience my whole adult life having a latte all over the world I have never had one this large and usually the ratio would be 1/3 coffee 2/3 milk. They offered to put an extra shot of coffee in which was kind but did not help much. She was not able to swap it for a smaller coffee for me without a charge so I just had a few sips and left it. My toast under my salmon Benedict was very cold, like it was been in a fridge and not been warmed but I can’t be sure. I just ate the crust and toppings which were quite nice and the salmon was very good. I did not mention the bread as not much was done about the...
Read moreNo food really looked like a few photos provided. We ordered shakshuka and avocado toast. Shakshuka dish looked decent, but I did not try it, so I cannot rate its taste. Avocado toast had a lot of components thrown on it, including edible flowers, arugula, grated cheese, diverse seeds, in addition to the original bread, avocado and scrambled eggs. Avocado was great, it seems one cannot go wrong when buying an avocado in Barcelona. Scrambled egg part was decent. Bread was simply awful. A thin, sad, and tasteless slice. Pomegranate seeds were still frozen when thrown on the sandwich and plate, and were thawing and unpleasant to taste. We also got a couple of smoothies, a chocolate one tasted burnt. The other one I did not try.
Unpleasant surprise mid meal was a cockroach, which we found crawling on the sofa where we were seated. Personnel was swift to get rid of it, and offered us to switch seats. I’m giving them an extra star for how they...
Read moreVery good place to eat at while waiting for your train. The food and the coffee was amazing, I had a great brunch here. I had the Bread Eye which I believe was a great choice, I liked the sandwich and the tomato sauce with egg, very good combination. I was a bit disappointed by the number of fries but I guess I should have checked the photos here to set my expectations. The coffee was good, sweet but not overwhelmingly sweet. Though what I have noticed is that they also had a tipping system placed here while paying and totally voluntary, this is my first time in Barcelona and was only passing by so I don't know if it's a thing in the city but I have been all over Spain this year and I haven't encountered that yet, so it was quite surprising to me but I guess since it's a touristy city, it's understandable and no harm if any one wants to...
