This is the second time visiting this restaurant. Let me start by stating that the food is very good, and it's a good value for a tasting menu by New York City standards (49 Euro).
This restaurant has two floors and a bar. During our visit last night, there were three people serving all of the customers. These three people served as the host for seating, provided wait services, bar tending, cleaning and resetting of the tables, etc. It would be an understatement to say that this restaurant was grossly understaffed.
The other "ding" is that you can choose one of maybe nine cocktails. Even though they have all of the ingredients to make a wide array of cocktails, we were told that management prohibits them from making anything other than the nine cocktails that they have on the menu. I ordered something that the waiter/busboy/host/bartender insisted that it "taste just like a Negroni", and it did not. It tasted like Campari. When I told the staff member that it tasted wrong and needed to be fixed, it was brought back to me and I was told that they are not allowed to put more gin into a drink so they added more Campari. Awful.
Additionally, they forgot one of our dishes. When we mentioned it to him, he told us, "You didn't get that?...Let me check". We never heard, "I'm sorry...I'll get that for you."
Lastly, the service is NOT tasting menu service. They do not change your plates or cutlery between services. They do not explain all of the dishes as you would expect when eating off of a tasting menu. They don't even take away the dirty plates...they are left piled up. I didn't get a sense that they were empowered to fix "easy to fix" problems like you would expect with a tasting menu.
To be fair, the two staffers that served us were lovely, but they were un-empowered to fix "easy to fix" problems, and they were grossly understaffed.
We loved it the first time we went years ago, but we are...

The Restaurant is 100% Gluten Free!
First off, the name is pure genius. It catches your attention, makes you smile, and sets the tone for the kind of experience you’re about to have: bold, a little cheeky, and totally unforgettable.
From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was in for something different. The atmosphere is laid-back but creative, with an edge of attitude that somehow makes you feel completely welcome. It’s not trying too hard – it just is cool. You can tell the team behind this place doesn’t just follow trends, they create them.
Now let’s talk food: experimental, surprising, and genuinely good. The dishes weren’t your typical predictable combinations – there was real thought and creativity in every plate. Unexpected flavor pairings, bold seasoning, and great presentation. You can tell the kitchen isn’t afraid to take risks, and more importantly: they pull it off. If you’re bored of the same old menus everywhere else, this place will wake your taste buds up.
Everything was also fairly priced, which made the experience even better. You’re not just paying for the food – you’re paying for a full-on creative experience that actually delivers without burning a hole in your wallet. Value for money? Absolutely.
The service was super friendly – casual, unpretentious, and really in tune with the place’s vibe. No fake smiles or forced formalities, just real people who seem to enjoy what they’re doing.
Oh, and side note: even the bathroom signs are hilarious. There’s so much attention to detail, even in the little things. It’s those small touches that show how much personality and thought went into creating this whole concept.
In short: It isn’t just a place to eat – it’s a place to remember. Whether you come for the name, the food, or the vibe, you’ll leave smiling. I definitely did. Already looking forward to...
Read moreReading some of these other reviews I feel gaslit or a bit crazy after going to this restaurant - first thing we noticed after walking in the door was an awful sewage smell that didn’t dissipate with time. I know that things happen and it might have been out of their control, so that didn’t make a big impact on our visit initially. However, once the food came out we were so confused. The first dish that came out was listed on the menu as carrot couscous, but it ended up being a canned carrot on top of hummus. Our waiter said something like “our couscous is like a hummus” when he served the dish. What? Why wouldn’t you just say it was hummus on the menu? Also why am I getting canned (or things that taste like canned) vegetables at an upscale restaurant? If it wasn’t canned, it definitely was something close to it, or just very blandly boiled. The next thing that came out was a beet salad with some greens, and again, it was mostly just a plate of canned beets. The steak came out next, and the waiter came out and blowtorched it for a few seconds, which I don’t know what that did but the meat was still very very rare (almost raw) afterward. The only serviceable dish was the octopus, but even that was really tough. I have no idea if it was an off night, but I definitely didn’t experience what some of these other reviewers did. I would really caution other people to do some research before visiting this place and not just go for the...
