**TLDR: whole meal tasted like it’s straight from Carrefour then microwaved** 1. Cod croquettes: middle was basically mush and didn’t taste like anything, fish finger would have tasted better 2. Potato tortillas: tasted exactly like the ones from supermarket then microwaved, there’s no way a freshly made food can taste this way and have this texture. Tomato bread was low key soaked but seasoning was fine. 3.shrimp scampi: garlic was burnt, shrimp was mushy so probably frozen/ not fresh seafood and doesn’t taste much, also no olive oil in the plate when served but I thought the shrimps are meant to be cooked in oil 4. The cheese and ham platter: honestly not much can go wrong here but the cheese tasted like rubber and not much flavour and the bread was not hot or crunchy and just hard and dry, the rest taste like normal supermarket produce 5. Sangria: when I thought sangria should be the one safe thing for this meal and tried to eat a slice of apple from the drink, it was mushy :( To conclude, the service was okay but food is no different from buying from supermarket and reheating it. Also, they gave us free limoncello at the end of the meal which was nice of them but they really need to up their game in their food!

It was a Saturday night when we got into this restaurant. This place is not as popular as it shows on the Internet and we are the only customers there. We ordered two dishes, a bottle of water and a sangria ,68.5 in total. The first one is salpicon de mariscos mixtos (Mixed fish). It is an appetizer of an octopus and some little fish with a refreshing sauce. The sauce tastes exactly the same with Tom Yum Goong. We were pretty full when we entered the restaurant and this appetizer did a great job. The second one should be bacalao con compota de tomatoes (not sure) . It is grilled fish with cheese, tomato sauce and chopped scallion. The cheese on top of the fish fillet is too salty. Overall it tastes like steamed fish soy sauce. I didn’t take any photos of sangria. It is for two. Each person can drink one and a half cups of it and it costs 20. The Alcohol by volume should be pretty high though. I appreciate the food, but I still think they are overpriced. It is a place that you don't want to walk in when you are starving, in which you will only get some foods that are just enough for you not feeling hungry. If you REALLY wanna try, maybe better having some croissants before walking in.

Nix Tapas & Drinks is an absolute gem tucked away in the heart of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm, welcoming, and authentically Catalan with a modern twist. The food was phenomenal—every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The pan con tomate was spot on, and the crema catalana was the perfect sweet finish. Each tapa felt thoughtfully crafted, and the menu was a great blend of tradition and creativity. What truly made the experience special, though, was the service. Angel and Laura were absolutely incredible—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making our night memorable. Their recommendations were on point, and their energy added so much to the overall vibe of the evening. The cocktails and wine selection were also top-tier, and the intimate setting made it feel like we discovered one of Barcelona’s best-kept secrets. Whether you’re visiting the city or a local looking for a solid spot, Nix should definitely be on your list. 10/10—can’t wait to go back.

Unforgettable Tapas and Drinks Experience in Barcelona!

If you're looking for a place to indulge in authentic tapas and refreshing drinks, this spot in Barcelona is a must-visit! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality, and the food experience did not disappoint. The tapas were flavorful, perfectly cooked, and served fresh – each bite was a delightful journey of Spanish culinary tradition.

The drinks were equally impressive, with a wide selection that complemented the dishes wonderfully. Whether you're a fan of classic cocktails or local wines, there's something for everyone here.

A special mention to Madel, our amazing camarera, who made our experience even more memorable. Her friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and recommendations made our meal even more enjoyable. It's rare to encounter such excellent service, and Madel truly went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time.

If you're in Barcelona, don’t miss out on this gem – incredible food, drinks, and service that will leave you coming back for more. Highly...
