Dear Team, I hope this message finds you well. I have been a loyal customer at your establishment since July 26, visiting daily to enjoy breakfast not only for the quality of the food, but also for the warm and welcoming service I have consistently received. Unfortunately, I experienced a disappointing situation yesterday that I feel compelled to bring to your attention. On that occasion, I was served by one of your waiters, whose name I believe is Otre (apologies if I am mistaken). I ordered my usual breakfast: one plain croissant and one hot chocolate. However, he brought only the hot chocolate, served in a bottle, and turned his back without acknowledging or bringing the croissant. I called him politely to mention the missing item, and he responded in a very impolite and dismissive manner, saying "What??" in a rude tone. This was quite surprising and disappointing. Additionally, I always order the hot chocolate in a large cup ("tassa grande"), as is normally available, but when I requested it this time, he simply said, "We don’t have it, it’s only served in a bottle," in an unhelpful tone. This contradicted my daily experience at your restaurant and felt unnecessarily unaccommodating. I wanted to bring this to your attention because this experience does not reflect the high standards and hospitality I’ve come to appreciate at your establishment. I truly value your place and hope to continue visiting with the same positive feeling as before. Thank you for your attention and...
Read moreThis place is really cute from the outside. The servers are super nice. The food wasn’t that great to be honest. I was really disappointed. I know it’s apart of Spanish culture to have fresh tomatoes and garlic but I had to prepare it on my plate on a date. It was strange. The bread was burnt. The paella was okay it lacked much flavor. But the waitresses didn’t offer clarity on what we had ordered. She had offered a daily menu with combined plates: tapa, drinks, desserts. She ordered one “daily menu” for the both of us. Which was weird, but couldn’t put in another order because the kitchen closed. But then charged us both for this large rice. (It’s typical in Spain, but it’s not what she advertised. She said it as though the rice was apart of the daily menu.) Definitely better options in Barcelona. The previous review about it coming off as “scammy” is true. Be honest about the cost of things. The whole experience was mediocre if you’re in Gracia, eat somewhere else for better versions of...
Read moreMe and my parents who were visiting me in Barcelona ended up in Candella Belbo by chance on a Christmas without any reservations. We were welcomed by Leonardo who was very hospitable. We ordered croquetas which were amazing and full of flavor and the sea beam fish by weight (we picked the fish) for a very reasonable price of 54 euros/kilo. We tasted the wine before order. Marta was very nice and served us the fish so we don't get our hands dirty. Presil and Jorgi were so nice keeping us company so we ended up ordering desert. Very recommended the mango cheese cake and the coconut piñacolada, they also offered us a free glass of cava at the end of the night. Spending around a 100 euros for three people including a appetizer croquetas, main course a 1.2 kilo fish that came with a salad and grilled potatoes, a bottle of white wine and 2 desserts. We were glad we randomly chose this place it was amazing experience and good company! Very...
