This is our fourth time coming to this restaurant and we always enjoy it! It’s a nice neighborhood place, very conveniently located on the Rambla, surrounded by hotels and shops, only a few blocks from the beach.
During our latest visit we had the octopus, tomato bread, fried fish and seafood paella. Pared with beer and white wine everything (as usual) was delicious.
The service can be a tad slow but it’s nothing that can spoil your evening.
The menu is pretty extensive and there are options for any dietary restriction you can imagine. The seafood is fresh and everything is prepared to order. The paella is said to be one of the best in town as in case you have never ordered it before is takes ~20-30 min to make so we always order at the start. With the number of other tapas we had we ordered the paella for three people even though we were a group of four and could not finish it, we could have easily had a fifth person in our party. The portions are very fair.
Love the 1 liter beers - they cannot be shared as they come in a glass, however, with the great meal it actually was the perfect amount per person, lol!
Compared to the U.S. for the quality and quantity of food and drinks this place is absolutely accessible and affordable!
Will certainly be coming back on...
Read moreDISGUSTING SERVICE BY THE SO CALLED MANAGER/WAITER . Got a table and ordered dessert with my family then another waiter comes up to us with an attitude and REFUSED the order saying I cannot order dessert because i have to eat dinner first! When i asked for manager he tells me he is the manager, i think this was a lie! I asked him why is all the tables around us all eating dessert he had no proper answer. He literally forced us to leave, embarrassing me and my children. DO NOT GO HERE ! Walked down the road to another restaurant 'Colom' And they were very welcoming and had no issue with us ordering desserts only
Your responses and attitude is disgusting reading through all your review responses on google the way you reply is pathetic. You have an open menu which should allow people to order whatever they want...
Read moreIt was a terrible experience. There were hairs in the food, the orders were mixed up, and the waiters didn’t listen to what we were saying - on top of that, they were extremely arrogant.
My friend asked to try a small sip of wine first (because she has a stomach condition and needs to check if the wine is not too dry). The waiter ignored her request, poured a full glass instead, and only then told her to taste it. She tried the wine but decided not to keep the glass. What happened next was shocking: the waiter poured the wine back from her glass into the bottle.
To make matters worse, no one apologised for any of this.
So be warned - if you visit this place, you might end up drinking from a bottle that has already been poured into someone...
