Was actually pointed here by Ca L’Estevet when the hostess could see we were put off by the long reservation queue. Silly Americans just trying to walk in! Haha. It is what it is - they are a tiny restaurant with a big reputation. But if formal service, a historic dining room, and waiters in starched white, high-collared jackets aren’t hard requirements, L’Havana does just fine! To us, the most important is the taste of the food and fair value. And L’Havana scores full marks on both. We were looking for classic and traditional - hence Ca L’Estevet - and L’Havana offered both with the fricando and the tripe stew. Beautiful, simple, honest, rib-sticking food without any superfluous “fancy.” Pricing was also fair, in-line with other neighborhood spots we’ve been to, sans the tourist markup of 50%ish at Ca L’Estevet. Just a great place. The food is delicious! The food tasted homemade, as if grandma stood in the kitchen. The whole place had a very cosy and homely vibe. All other guests where locals and it felt like that. You can see them take the fresh ingredients and you can definitely taste it. The service was also very good, i would recommend this place as a hidden gem, since it doesn't look like much from the outside, if you walk past it. CAR, I PITJOR QUALITAT DEL QUE RECORDAVA

Feia temps, anys, que no anava a aquest restaurant, de menjar tradicional català situat a la part alta del Raval. Recordava haver menjat be per un preu raonable. Vam decidir tres amics anar a dinar al migdia, entre setmana. Ens va sorprendre els pocs comensals que hi havia a la sala. El cert és que l'atenció va ser bona, i fins i tot ens varen convidar a uns xarrups al final. Un altra cosa és el menjar, molt justet quant a la relació preu - qualitat. Varem compartir uns entrants, entre els que hi havia un plat de rovellons de botó a la planxa, que ens van oferir fora de carta, ració molt petita i al preu desorbitat de 18 euros. Uns musclos de roca amb ceba, molt petits y que en el plat hi havia mes ceba que musclos. Els seitons fregits, molt secs. De segon vaig demanar un peus de porc guisats amb bolets,i he de reconèixer que no van ser els millors que he menjat ni molt menys. La factura ve pujar 137 euros, es a dir, més de 45 euros per persona,import injustificat pel que vam menjar, especialment si tenim en compte que varen demanar el vi de la casa, unes cerveses, i com a cosa especial un parell de copes de cava. Vista la nostra experiència, no crec que tornem a aquest restaurant, que en el seu dia ens va agradar molt, però que actualment ha perdut qualitat i resulta exageradament car pel que ofereixen.
